Hahaha!!! Sorry, but that was funny.

And yes, no company is perfect. You should see some of the complaints levelled at Hot Toys.
Their Han Solo (which I think is brilliant) gets slagged off as not accurate, and non representative of Harrison, etc. Actually, I can't recall any figure getting a collective thumbs up.
Heres a real time example. Last night: My mate asks to see the Hot Toys "Guardians of the Galaxy" Thanos figure. He takes it out of the box looks it over and says "It's a bit like a big toy" !!! I mean, it says as much in the company's name - HOT TOYS - These are toys, hi end or otherwise. Playmates Toys are toys.
We are (majority) adults who buy toys. Some companies do a good job, some are quite excellent.
I think that Playmate's strongest points involve the general sculpting, which in most cases is quite superb. Paint apps - I have given a lot of thought too. Litigation. For good or bad, there is a bad rep on paint in general here and it is not very well trusted. I can easily believe that Playmates put out a mandate that figures should contain limited paint, manufacturing parts as color correct as possible. I could be wrong.
Anyways, I still enjoy collecting these things

If you were a real hardass, you would never own up to a mistek. I never do.

The new toys look great in my opinion, glad to see that there will be much more available then there was for the first movie.

Too bad there's no Donnie in costume though.

Thanks for the pics DVD!

I finally got around to unboxing this yesterday.
Unlike the previous vans, it comes out of the box with wheels intact.
The front fork lift is a little flimsy.
The nunchuck action feature is well engineered and I was impressed with the way it extracts and operates.

Here is a quick 2014-2016 comp shot.

Thanks for sharing, looks nice, even though it's basically a garbage truck.

No spoiler as its more of the same.

The truck is advertised like this:

It is the only vehicle advertised. The bikes are pre-requisites in any Turtles set. For TMNT, they issued stunt bikes for ALL Turtles. Only rap should have had one (so that's the only one I got), but as you know Turtles and bikes still make pretty cool combo sets.
OMG! are first real look at the Technodrome on the top right. It looks like they combined the Technodrome from the 80s and the Nickelodeon series

Yup - It's a Garbage Truck
Actually, I prefer the previous version to this one.
The new one is bigger, but the inside of the vehicle is taken up by the nunchuck mechanism. Im sure kids will love pushing this around knocking over the (same size as the Turtles) bad guys!!!
On that - from a manufacturers POV, same sized figures insures that each can interact collectively with the play sets, vehicles etc.
As a 'collector' we like things to be correct!!! I wouldn't be impressed if my HT Vader was the same height as HT Luke

I can accept my TMNT figures being roughly the same size - but not these guys

Can you take a bigger picture of the Technodrome from the Sewer Lair playset?

Do you have any of the basic Turtle figures? I'm curious if the paint apps are decent?

& it's definitely battle damaged in that shot, so we can't fully judge it's design on that image (though it does give the general idea quite well).

A little bit too early to complain... This is the movie universe, we don't know how tall they are to each other. And bayturtles ARE HUGE !!!

They are about the same height in the FW cartoon anyway.

So they're rehashing the Lair Playset, well it's still a better rehash than the electronic one that was released...Though I took my lair apart, salvaged a couple pieces then put the rest in storage. It takes up too much space, and had virtually no actual play or display room, glad I only paid 10 dollars for it, I honestly got so much more use out of the pop up set.

I have never put those Turtles in THEIR van !!! haha!!
My Movie Turtles: The bubble packed set are sealed on a wall, and the box set is still sealed.
I use spare sets on Nick Turtles for all of my vehicles. Each time I get a vehicle, I but a new set of Nick Turtles for it. I might order a set or 2 of Movie Turtles today for the two vans.
Actually, my Classic van, Nick Van and 2K3 van have the appropriate Turtles in there.
