No. No it f#cking didn't.

Both explanations are stupid. Comparing which is LESS stupid is a dumbass comparison.

Well conveniently not this time. Now a piece of feces with a different TMNT logo one is better. Different feces should have different logos y'know.

Anyway, yeah, when you make less sense than FW...big gold stars all around.

Y'know I was going to let this slide but the more I thought about it, it's much more wrong than I initially thought. It's natural to put to similar concepts together and see how they stack up.

Both previous explanations for the effects of ooze/mutagen have strong antecedents in classic fiction even if the execution of the Fred Wolf version is absurd.

I would also say that it's more or less fair to speculate what fictional substance would do to a human body, less so to suggest a real life thing like the human body has something already in it to facilitate the same reaction. If this was a string theme that would be explored I'd be open to it but it's being used a hand wave solution to a problem that already had acceptable solutions.

Well, I think we can all agree that turning an animal into a human is the most illogical aspect of mutation. We know it happened to Michelangelo in the Fred Wolf cartoon but again, this isn't the Fred Wolf cartoon. No matter how much people excited for this movie want to believe it is.

Imagine Mikey turns into Noel Fisher. I can see that happening, like 99% probability!

I don't ****ing get it. These producers keep changing things because they're too stupid, yet they come up with even STUPIDER ideas?

Splinter being a rat who trained the Turtles because of past experience? Too stupid, let's have him learn an ancient art that requires constant practice and actual teaching from a ****ing book.

Mutagen that mutates you into the last thing you touched? Nah, let's ****ing re-write human biology.

Heck even in the Fred Wolf show that one episode where Mikey became human wasn't portrayed as easy as a drop of mutagen instantly mutating him and the transformation didn't come without consequences.

Exactly. Even though I'm a huge fan and think a source accurate movie would do very well I'm not blind to the fact there are some aspects of TMNT that (on the surface) just sound weird and "too silly". I understand why a Hollywood producer's first instinct is to change it.

However they are replacing something stupid with much stupider things. A rat mimicking ninjutsu? Too unrealistic now he learns the entirety of martial arts from a book. Humans mutate into animals? Too simple how about the who human race has dormant animal genes to explain it. Much better.

No no, I think the term is "too complicated." Let's simplify it into stupidity.

Too complicaaa... no, wait, it was simple before, let's unnecessarily complicate it without explanation.

You know... it's becoming clear to me that it's just a bunch of guys writing and producing who never mentally got out of their teens (as if we didn't already know Bay is a giant man child) and are eternally stuck in that rebellious phase where they just want to do everything the opposite from what they are shown by someone else.

I just can't ****ing believe it. They can't even get the laws of fictional mutagen correct.

Are you really going to tell me that Turtles have strands of human DNA in them or vice versa?!

"Oh yeah, guys, my spirit animal is a shark. Maybe I can be Bludgeon or Armaggon."

Not sold on some of the Turtles wanting to turn human - however if they reversed the compounds within the mutagen and use it to revert B & R back into humans, then that might actually work.

Maybe..

Little envious that I can't play with the Turtle chat bots.

http://www.adweek.com/news/advertisi...w-movie-171597

Have enjoyed a well made online chat bot or two in the past, always fun to try to confuse them or ask them awkward questions.

Well this was an odd day. After atomizing my Arrow DVDs in the driveway (they're literally dust now), I was still so furious at everything about this movie (Does TigerClaw have latent amoeba genes in him?) that I went out to the nearest Best Buy and started trashing their Arrow DVDs right in the middle of the store. Jumping up and down on them, smashing them with a hammer...

Long story short, bail was a reasonable amount and I have a court hearing tomorrow. Michael Bay, I expect full reimbursement for my legal expenses.
