Lol. Now that I'm looking at the order I put my list in it seems the movies get worse with each passing one with the exception of 2007. I fuc*ing hated that movie. The only memorable part of that entire snooze fest was the Leo raph fight. Hopefully oots will change this and be high on my list tho.
I fell for the teaser of Tmnt 2007 got suckered in liked it at the time years passed and yeah it's not that good it's not as bad as soto though I'm sorry something about that film rubs me the wrong way

As it did for a lot of people. Especially after the high bar the first one set. I think for me tho it was the replacement of bebop and Rocksteady they put in that movie. Why, is all I could say for the longest time to that choice. They budgeted for two destructive villans of the same caliber so why not just make them the fan favorites. ..

Two reasons. Eastman and Laird didn't want them and also they didn't have the rights to any characters created in the OT show. Now Viacom owns the entire franchise so they can do whatever they want

Take The Dark Knight for example. Ra's al Ghul and Joker are commonly known as Batman's most iconic villains. Obviously Joker's the bigger one, so you'd think they'd save him for the third movie, right? Nope. Second movie. But guess what; that worked. Why? Because the third movie, which featured Bane, who is MUCH lesser known than Joker, who had a plan that connected with Ra's and Joker.

If you're going to bring your a-game for a movie that's not the final part of a trilogy, good god, at least make sure that you have a plan for the third.

Cylon can tell you, but I wrote scripts and outlines for a TMNT trilogy just to prove to myself that I could do it better than these guys. Krang gets introduced in Part 2, and 2 ends on a cliffhanger and Krang remains as the antagonist in 3.

These writers have no idea how to make stories carry over. I just hope to god that this movie turns into an Amazing Spider-Man 2 situation where it bombs and Paramount cancels any plans they had for a sequel.

I'm just gonna go on a limb here and say Brian Tee actually did research for the character, and actually did more research than the writers.

"Wait, Shredder has a real name and a backstory?!"
I'll vouch for Foomba's stuff. Damn good. I also did a full screenplay outline for a TMNT movie. Hard PG-13, some new takes on stuff mixed with mostly Mirage/IDW retelling. Had ideas for a few more, went back to my original fiction.

Feeling pissed at incompetent TMNT writers again; will probably finish my sequel outline. Seems to be every time PD screws up a TMNT movie, I gotta prove to myself that I could've done it better.

Really? I wouldn't mind ready Foomba's and your stuff. It has to be 10 times better than this childish drivel we got for these movies.

Anyone can do better than what Platinum Dunes did. They set the bar really low.

Same here - Foom, Cylon, if you guys would like to share your movie script ideas, then you two can PM them to the folks here that want to to read them.

Just a idea - that's all.

I would actually like to watch the '07 version, seeing as I'm still in no hurry to see the '14 movie.

This is a good list. I really enjoy TMNT 2007, and I can kind of understand why so many people don't like it, but still I think it's better than TMNT 3 and 2014.

I actually edited out the slow ass intro of 2k7. "Five brothers, five turtles...blablabla" and also the silly Hercules planets alignment ripoff. My version starts with the night star filled sky and the gangsters started haggling some villagers.

I wanted to also cut April's explanation of Winter's immortality theory at her apartment in the middle of the movie but then it doesn't make sense plot wise so I left it.

Probably because the plot is ridiculous and Mikey and Donnie get zero character development?

Personal favorite movie order

Since everyone else is doing it, I suppose I will post my list of movie order:

1. 1990 - Followed close to the original comic story and despite being in the height of the cartoon fame decided to go with a little darker tone. Definitely the best by far, wish the new once took more after this one, not much else needs to be said.

2. 2007 - This is the hardest spot to fill as 2-4 are probably all pretty close. But I think this movie had the POTENTIAL to be great. I loved the tone and set up for the movie (turtles after defeating Shredder and continuing their lives). The huge mistake they made was centering it around some ancient curse set up. If they only centered it around a Krang invasion everyone would have LOVED this movie. Just make some of these monsters from Dimension X and could have had Karai working with Krang to invade, it practically writes itself. If only...

3. Secret of the Ooze - Loved this movie as a child and for a long time it was my favorite turtle movie. But then I grew up and realized how silly it is. No use of weapons, letdown of a "fight" again Super Shredder, and for some reason used characters named Tokka and Rahzar I still enjoy watching this movie as a guilty pleasure. Just a little too much of a cash grab, a little too silly, a little too Raph .

4. 2014 - I did not / do not hate this movie as much as everyone else does. The characters aren't how I would have designed them, but I think people hate on it a little too much for just that reason alone. There certainly is too much April and they just tip toed around the fact that Sacks was suppose to be Shredder (would have been better if they just went all the way with it or just don't include this character at all). But when the turtles are on screen it is legitimately entertaining, they got their personalities right, and the actions scenes are genuinely fun to watch. Certainly has it's flaws, but it sold me enough that I will be seeing the new one.

5. Turtles III - Seriously?! Going to Japan is a fine idea, I guess, but no Shredder and replacing him with a random guy named Walker? I think I liked it as a kid, but that just goes to show how dumb I was and how blindly I enjoyed anything with the Turtles brand on it (I know, I still do that). Terrible movie.

I really hope so too! It obviously isn't going to be some masterpiece, but it looks like it will be fun. And I'm sure I will like it more than it deserves to be liked haha.
