I meant no disrespect. It was just interesting to me. Putting the most recent movies at the top isn't something common with older fans.

TMNT 1990
TMNT II/TMNT III (sometimes I flip flop which is better) TMNT 2007 .... ... ... *pile of waste* *more pile of waste* *nostrils* - TMNT 2014 Before TMNT 2014 all TMNT movies were at least watchable and decently entertaining no matter how cheesy they were. |

TMNT 2007 was nothing special, but there wasn't anything truly bad about it. It was just like an episode of the cartoons stretched out to an hour and a half.

I liked the 2007 film, mostly because Nightwatcher was awesome.
Great acting by Nolan North and James Arnold Taylor too. |

Yeah the only problem I had with it was the plot. I would have liked to see more familiar territory. It felt like a special that would have aired on tv or something. 14 years after the last live action movie, you would have thought that they would try to reboot the franchise or something or bring in familiar characters. It was decent but a missed opportunity in my opinion.

I like how "nostrils" comes slightly before the film.
![]() 1990 comes in first in my list, as per the norm. Honestly my last is probably 2007, I'm just not too impressed by anything in it. Not big on some of the characterization and character design just felt boring to me. And the story, meh. 2014... *sigh* the Turtles have potential and wish I could rank them alone a bit hire than the film itself, the rest of the film sits maybe slightly above 2007, as it was plenty stupid, but in it's own stupid ways a bit less boring at least when the Turtles were actually on the screen. If possible I'd split it as TMNT 2014 (even with TMNT 3) and April 2014 (below 2007). |

The 2014 is a movie that went so off spectrum that it's not even a TMNT movie. There's literally nothing to enjoy about this movie. The origin has been completely tossed out the window in favor for something THEY think the audience will understand. These are made by folks who don't care about the source material or what makes these characters unique. Say what you will about TMNT 2: Soto but I always felt that the story made up for it's shortcomings. That movie was released during the time where our perception of the property was, so I personally feel that it's more forgivable since it's a product of it's time. 3 may have been a bad, cheesy movie that I don't want anyone to think that I am defending that movie but it didn't go out of it's way to change the entire origin of the turtles. It just had a horrible execution!
2014 eliminated the origin story, made the turtles way too chunky and bulletproof, BULLETPROOF NEED I REMIND YOU, learn martial arts from a book which is painfully impossible, made April the focus of the film, let her defeat the Shredder (I'm sorry, NO ONE should be able to defend this head-scratching event), and had Mikey make his sexual tensions with her be known. Coupled by the fact that there were a lot of technical issues with this film such as a terrible script, awful acting, too many close up shots, incredibly slow motion shots (practices that Michael Bay is known for), and so many plot holes thanks to the numerous reshoots that this movie went through. It begs the question "why is this movie the way it is? How frantic were the production values for this film?" They wanted to do something different but there means of doing so was a subtraction! There is NO excuse for this. It is a poorly made film that had no idea what on earth it wanted to be! I can't recommend this film to anyone who wants to know who the TMNT are. Because this is NOT a TMNT film, it's a film starring six-footed super chuds (as RamboRaph calls them). |

I think it's an interesting twist that April defeated Shredder. She couldn't have done it herself, it's a team effort anyway.

If Shredder was Eric Sacks, it would have made perfect sense. Since they changed it with reshoots, it just doesn't work.

III over II? Interesting. What about III do you enjoy? Or do you just really hate II?
