Donnie and Leo have unaddressed tension that has existed since the end of season 2. So far this tension only appears when Donnie feels that he's being pushed. This season Don easily overpowered by an opponent or one of the first to be taken out of a battle as well.

This recent episode, Donnie was sinking to Raph's level which also could be caused by frustrations that haven't been brought to the surface yet.

Or maybe since the story has hinted that April will be going dark...and in city of war there was that point where Donnie wanted to step in when Shinigami and April were going at it. And he is able to calm her down when she is still under the crystals influence. Perhaps he believes he can reach her and instead is psychically incapacitated.

i also think that someone else will end up dying but to me, it seems more likely on it being leo with how hes been going off solo and his almost death in earths last stand

Leo's learned his lesson for the most part though. He's no longer doing solo missions and he's relying on his brothers more following what happened in Broken Foot.

I also had the feeling that Splinter was foreshadowing his death in the new episode.

Also about Pigeon Pete, Slash said they don't talk about Pete anymore. Then I noticed how Rockwell was looking away and Slash had a serious expression.

So could it be that Pete was kicked out of the Mutanimals and replaced by Mondo? Or maybe something else. Like Pete ceasing out of exist because A.J. Buckley might of quitted or something happened like Playmates forcing Nick to remove Pete for an excuse of not making his figure? I don't know man.

Also I noticed how Slash had Donnie's and Mikey's bandannas on his arm like in Slash and Destroy. I think this will be a recurring error in the show. First time this error happened was in Newtralized. And in this episode it was when Raphael was sitting after coming beaten up and Slash was behind him in the background.

It's probably voice actor avalability problems. It isn't THAT big of a deal. It was pretty much played off as a joke anyways

i can't see why they just don't re-cast the character then?

surely they can come up with an explanation like they did with Leo's damaged voicebox?

If there is going to be a death I think it has to be him. There is no way they will kill one of the turtles.

The problem is Splinter has already "died" twice, once at the end of Season 2 (nearly died) and again at the end of Season 3. So doing it yet again will feel repetitive and the impact will be gone.
