New Show coming in 2018

I'm actually a bit more optimistic about the show now. The designs are interesting and to me don't suggest that it would be targeted at really young children. The changes could be interesting. They still seem to be focusing on brotherhood and family which I think is my favourite part of the franchise. I think that my favourite moments from the 2012 show were when they were having fun as brothers and poking fun at each other.

I don't really find Leo or Mikey's designs too thin. They still have muscular arms and their more svelte or sleek frame would aid in them being ninja I would imagine while still having muscular strength. The Japanese ninja wouldn't generally have been very bulked up. Their strength just isn't as obvious as Raph's.

Leo is my favourite and I think that this new interpretation will be interesting to see. I'm not that keen on April's design but it doesn't really bother me. I think Splinter's design gives an indication of what his personality will be like. He seems like he could be quite cross but in a way that the audience (maybe not the turtles) would find funny. Whatever happens, I think that I'll be able to enjoy the show for what is. I've enjoyed all of the versions so far (well except for the Next Mutation since it was aired where I'm from and I have no interest in watching it now) and I think that I'll be able to appreciate certain things about the show. I've been able to enjoy certain things from the three versions so far.

I agree. While I am not the most optimistic in terms of the designs, I am still very interested in seeing how their personalities will play out.

I love the idea of Raph being a leader and Leonardo being more laid back. Donatello sounds like he will be tougher and more confident so I'm glad to see he probably won't be wimpy, and Mikey always tends to be better in the more lighthearted shows so I'd say things are looking pretty promising.

"previous incarnations" who is working on this thing? Is it a brand new crew? Why do they mention this twice? This is strange. He sounds the same as before.

The battleshells idea sounds cool. Specially for the toy department but since how they cheap out on toys im sure this will be mostly ignored.

You're the first person I've seen compare Raphael to Donald Trump. Besides, its not like Leonardo was never hot headed when he was a leader. I wish they keep Raph as the leader rather than change it just because its the status quo in other tmnt versions.

It definitely seems like the powers come from the weapons rather than the Turtles themselves. Which is a good thing, the Turtles themselves won't have any superpowers. I guess they find these new weapons right at the start of the show, would be kind of ironic if they all start off having their traditional/iconic weapons and switch to these new ones.

If I'm honest, the pessimist in me keeps sarcastically thinking, "Well, at least there's something for everyone to hate!" (Save for those people who just don't care or don't have a fave they'd hate to see screwed with.)

Even with the big thing of Raph stealing Leo's thunder that we've known about for a while... and now, a bit of Raph's own stolen - NOPE, no sai for you! (Not that tonfa aren't cool, but I dunno... I could see him having it as an additional weapon strapped to his belt, not main?) Though I might have smirked at the loss given what he's taking from Leo.



I have to at least give PD credit that the Turtles were at least themselves, albeit a bit hallow in some cases.

You can buy softshell and snapping turtles anywhere (it's only alligator snapping turtles that are illegal in SOME states). What you WOULDN'T do is put them all in the same bowl... a snapping turtle doesn't get along with any other turtle, even other snapping turtles. It would kill everybody.

Raph is huge. So much stronger than the others, he just doesn’t need a bladed weapon anymore. I can’t wait to watch him use those wooden things. Hell kick ass with them.
Also, Donnie intrigues me the most. He is obviously more serious than ever, he doesn’t smile in any image and the creators said he is different from all incarnations. He will be a huge brainiac/smart ass, but seems more kick ass than ever.

Sad that splinter will be there for comic relief more than ever... he is most funny when he is serious most of the time with a rare line or 2 every few episodes. He’s a Sensei, not some drunk father lol

Teen Titans Go uses chibi designs for the characters with thick outlines, nothing about these designs look like that. I don't see any cutesy design at all, it's more similar to the Samurai Jack or the 2D Clone Wars cartoon style.
