The difference is that this is TMNT crossing over with itself rather than some other property. There's no reason for it to be non-canon. (I also have a hard time believing that WhereWhen is IDW canon since it wasn't included in any of the hardcovers and it's hard to even figure where it'd fit in chronologically in the first place... unless they suddenly start getting obsessed with stopping some dude called "Dr. WhereWhen" in a new issue out of nowhere.)

If it's canon how does Slash come back to life? They should of just used Archie Slash. Also the whole Black, White and Green mini-series was non-canon and isn't part of the IDW collections either.

Like I said it will most likely be explained when comic comes out in November

The difference with that is that those were anthology stories that didn't even consistently feature the same TMNT world from issue to issue. These are pretty clearly the IDW Turtles. Also, IDW Slash was likely chosen because of his connection with Mikey and how it might affect the older Mike to see him alive again after all this time.

I mean most of the other crossovers use Turtles that "seem" like the IDW Turtles, even though they're not. I always saw all the crossover Turtles as IDW "adjacent," meaning they're written as the IDW Turtles but they're not really them. Even in all the earliest crossovers in the Batman ones it felt like that, and they did it with everything after like Power Rangers, He-Man, Street Fighter, etc. That's also why Shredder always looks similar to IDW Shredder whenever he appears in crossovers too.

Exception being the Mirage Turtles used in the Stranger Things crossover since it was the 80's.

We will see in November but like we said it will probably be canon because in IGN article they said it will introduce Ninjara from IDW universe

He's dead, too. Even if you count his revival in "Odyssey."

Considering the embarrassing situation of the canon IDW Turtles in the stories in recent years, they might lose in the first battle. Most powerful version of IDW Turtles is 20/20 comic, especially 20/20 Leo had flight and intangible power.

IDW Turtles would lose any battle to the death automatically, unless they're just fighting Metalhead (the robot, not the spikey hair guy).

Wait, there are some people that don’t like the black/white mirage turtles aesthetic. I mean… sure okay.

This does ask the question how do turtles like Rise lose

It's just a lame and pointless gimmick at this point, imo.

It'd be fine if the whole comic was black and white. But making Mirage like "the black and white universe" is ridiculous and stupid on many levels.

This Mirage Shredder might be from Mirage v1 #1, unless he get a chance to resurrected by some reason.

Where/When isn't canon due it being co-published with Dogu/ Dark Horse.

It's strange to me IDW keeps putting out so many non-canon books. The Last Ronin is one thing, but what is the point of all these off-shoots?

I'm curious if anyone actually buy "Best of character" series? Even Dark Leo(lmao)has his Best of Character comic.

The same reason any of the other comicbook character does these things.

How can their universe look different when their comics when they debuted in 1984 are black and white?
