Hm, perhaps. I’m sure more will be revealed, but I also don’t understand how Savanti thinks he can wipe out all turtles from existence just by having them lose in a tournament.

Good review, as always.

Interesting point about them losing tying into this universe being toast. I don’t think that’s the case, since this takes place before #13 and I expect the current creative team to have a contract until #24. But that certainly would have been an interesting way to end this universe.

That would be the most embarrassing thing, because even though he's not a rookie, yet his skills haven't improved. Not to mention this wasn't his first experience fighting Shredder.

From what I hear the losers go to the same place the others go. I think the summary of part 4 says one of the turtles will run into 'himself'. So if Leo loses maybe he'll run into his Mirage self?

I'm worried that the "Mirage Turtles" is probably B&W Mirage Turtles from Turtle Prime, not All-Red bandana version.

EDIT - (kinda changing the subject, but I just thought this and didn't wanna double-post) - imagine being Burnham or Paul Allor and toiling away for years doing IDW spinoff books and then watching them give the main title to a bunch of A-listers based on their name alone. No slight against those guys, I'm sure they're doing well for themselves, but that's gotta sting a little bit.

I wonder how many of those he’s sold. I’m just trying to wrap my head around the type of person that would wear that. First of all, I don’t want to explain head canon to a normie, so I’m out already.

But the concept of someone who loves nerd fiction wearing a shirt that essentially means “I have zero creativity of my own. I just read stuff and accept how it is without pondering any further” is just very funny to me.

Weird thing for a published writer to sell.

The comic was fine I suppose. Admittedly the small segment were the IDW turtles interacted with Archie, Rise and 2k3 was probably the most memorable part. Battle nexus felt like it should have been more of that. Don’t know how I feel about Slash is back, but at least Alopex and Raph are finally over the drama.
