Too clarify the Christmas and Shanghai episodes will actually be 40 minute specials. There will also be a Halloween 40 minute one as well.

There will be a new hero in the Shanghai special.

I just recently got into this show. I had been wanting to check it out for awhile. I've only seen the current Season (6). Seems like every previous season is on Youtube. I saw a couple of Season 1 episodes. I ended up loving this.

I didn't know about that original art style but honestly I like the way it turned out way better. Those designs and animation is way too stylized imo. It all seems too busy.

I saw the special where she visits Tokyo and the art style shifts to a straightforward anime look. That was kinda cool. It looked fine for that. I know there's a Netflix movie but haven't seen it.

Of course I had to check out the toys. I wanted to get the current doll with the current outfit but the newer toys do not have elbow articulation...but the older toys do. What?! It's the most basic articulation. They're made by Playmates. They also don't make any villains which is odd. Not even the main villain.

I've seen some people don't like her original all-polkadot outfit but I like it. The best doll imo seems to be the Talk and Sparkle version. It says phrases, has light up earrings, a shiny outfit and the elbow articulation. It was released in 2021 though. Not on Amazon at the moment either.

Today was the Season 6 Finale. Pretty good but nothing huge really happened. S7 is November 20.

So turns out Youtube does not have every previous episode. I've been watching what's available but a lot are duplicate uploads or missing. I really wanted to watch it all before S7. Have not seen the movie yet either.

As for toys it turns out Playmates is losing this too next year. Jazwares is taking over. There's a preview from toy fair 2025 but they do not look good.

The Playmates dolls look good. They're just missing certain things. Like CosmoBug (her flying transformation) does not include her face shield and the wings are solid pink instead of pink/blue. I have no idea why they're lacking certain details and characters. Look at all they did for TMNT.

Seeing what Jazwares has planned is making me reconsider the Playmates stuff. I was just gonna hold out for the Talking one but now I should probably get a couple of variants because they do look good. It's just cartoon accuracy is off a bit.

Cosmobug is $40 on Amazon. I've been checking to see if it goes down since it always fluctuates. I wonder if I should get the current S6 doll without elbow articulation. I was gonna pass on it because of that but it's only $16. My Walmart did not have any the last time I went.

I lost interest in the show a while ago but I still love the movie though I am angry that Netflix refuses to give it a blu ray release.

Daughter binged the first four series (I think, up to defeating Shadowmoth and he walks into the sunset) on repeat but between that and the wait for S5 she got into other stuff and don’t think we’ve gone back to it.

Ok so I was able to see the entire 5 seasons I needed to catch up (through Youtube and other means) and I saw the movie on Netflix.

Love the show. I think it is wonderfully written. After seeing S6 on Disney Channel I thought it might come off repetitive but no not imo. I never got tired of binge watching it. I did about 5 episodes a day. Sometimes more.

My only complaint is I think there's maybe too many Miraculous jewels. It's kinda..."if everyone's a superhero then nobody is a superhero". I forgot where I heard that. I think the main bunch are enough although some are a stretch.

I'm more so referring to the US when they visit New York. There's the American superheroes who are basically the Justice League in addition to more Miraculous holders. Plus the Tokyo heroes who are basically the Power Rangers. I think the main cast (and Lady Dragon) is enough. It's more special if it's just them.

So onto the movie. Maybe an unpopular opinion but it was a massive disappointment to me. It being an alternate take is very weird considering the show was already on for years. Movies can be different from the main series... but it's bizarre seeing some kind of self adaptation.

Besides that it's just not good. It's not long enough develop any of the characters or create any build up for the ending. The songs get in the way but the overall problem is the movie is just so bland. Nothing feels important and there's too much focus on them having romantic feels.

The higher quality CGI looks great but I do not like Marinette's slight redesign. Her face is not as cute/friendly looking. Not to mention her singing voice sounds off. Like a different person. I don't know if it is.

Oh and I hate what they did with Plagg.

All the movie should have been was an extended episode with the nicer CGI. One of the Chloe plots would have worked.

I read there's a sequel planned. I'm curious where it goes but I'm not really interested in it. There's also a Live Action movie planned. I definitely want to see that...but based on the show.

Ok I’m definitely excited to see it turned live action. It’s not often a cartoon and live action tv show run together right? The Loud House on Nick is the only one that comes to mind.

I decided to rewatch Season 6 and I’m really enjoying it with all the context of 1-5. I understand certain details and story elements better.

I bought a Ladybug doll. The standard, original costume version. I was waiting for the talking one but I can do without that feature. Also the costume is a darker red which is not show accurate. Plus mine came with a Tikki figure. I don’t wanna mess with blind boxes.

I still want the S6 Doll even though they cheaped out on articulation. Which is still bizarre because it’s the same body mold. It just looks so good.

I have very low expectations for the Jazwares toys. Their preview dolls look so bad. I’m assuming we won’t see the finished products until next Toy Fair in Feb.
