I doubt there will be any redemption arc for Trump in history decades from now. George W. Bush only got away with it due to America being attacked, Hussein being captured/killed, and then Obama catching Osama Bin Laden later and him being killed. Still, a lot of the blame for the Iraq invasion can be placed on the people around him.

Bush was definitely still hated well into Obama's presidency, it only died down since Trump came around. That and the younger Gen-Z kids were just babies when Bush was president, and now that they're online they were too young to realize what was happening back then.

I was about 21, but I acted like I was 12/13. I'd just come out of a special programme at College and thrusted into 'proper' classes.

Though the comparison was largely because Bush seemed like kind of an idiot. Not necessarily bad intentioned, and I never believed him to be when he was in office, but like a C- student who slept through some parts of class wrongly being made valedictorian.

Trump though... the bad intentions and disregard for the people is just fully out loud at this point. If anyone in power in the future is ever considered worse than him, then just close up the U.S. and turn off the lights, it's done. There really isn't much Trump wouldn't do if it benefited him or favored his ego to do it. If anything is even worse, then the people gave up and allowed it to cross the line that Trump kept pushing it to and trying to cross.

How do they define right wing? There are a lot of people that could be described as classical live and let live liberals that are hawkish on things like borders and immigration. It’s not the 1980’s or 90’s anymore. There are plenty of Republicans who are chill with gay marriage, pot, porn, and prostitution.

There are plenty of people who want to want to protect their pot farms with belt-fed .50 caliber machine-guns with their same-sex partner while not worrying about literal boatloads of immigrants who marry their own eight year old niece.

Whose ideological purity test do we have to pass? Yours?

Note it says "vote", so the polling places based on the party of the candidates in question. Oh I agree about your analysis, but Republican voters on the whole are a lot more right wing than Democrats.

Thing is, in the next election here they will have to expand that to the likes of Reform and Restore, not just the Conversatives to keep the correlation accurate.

It's very disappointing to be living in the state of Texas right now. The seante race has Ken Paxton, a crooked man, and James Talarico, someone who believes that God is nonbinary and that there are six kinds of genders. I wish John Cornyn was up for re-election.

There is a rumor going on that the reason why Talarico hasn't been seen on the campain trail in the last two weeks that he checked into a mental health facitily after having a serious mental breakdown. If this is true, then he's not fit to be in office.
