Thoughts on the new movie!

I never did read the comics.
The cartoons were good to me because of the characters. I can't explain it. When they fought you'd get into it. I think fighting was more of an expression of the story in the cartoon. It just doesn't work for me in the 2K3 series.

Here's the general thought/notion that goes through my mind: In real life when you watch martial arts you enjoy it because it takes actual skill, it's something not everyone can do. Then there are cartoons or movies such as this one that might take a skill based thing like skateboarding, and try to impress the audience, but it just comes off as silly since it's just really some guy at a computer drawing it. Take video games for example. Some like Tekken or Mortal Kombat show the characters doing katas. How is this supposed to impress me?

It wouldn't have cost as much as Titanic. They would have been given a limited budget. Within that limited budget, they would have found creative ways to do things because they don't have access to everything they would have had with CGI or more money. When I enetered the theater I was a bit worried for the first time about this film, I guess it started to hit when I saw kids in the age range of 4 to 10. I havent been to a film with a age range like that in years so I just felt really out of place, but before you knew it when the movie started none of that even mattered.

Really easy to understand story, you can pretty much picture were it will lead you but thats fine by mean seeing as to all the groups that there trying to hit.

At first I had a hard time believing the nightwatcher was really a good idea but when you start looking at all the emotional depth of these characters it seemed to add something extra to him. The nightwatcher aka Batman seemed to fit perfectly for something like this.

I really liked how the Turtles lives were sperate from the villains plot, at first they didnt go out looking for them like we see in plently of stories they just wound up in it. I was having a hard time with the monsters and just that whole plot line with them, I wasent to into it at first but I did get more into it has the turtles became more involed.

I thought the turtles were handled very well, each one was dead on to how they should be but I was dissappointed in the lack of screen time for Mike and Don but I also understand because of Raph and Leos personilties that they will always tend to hog the screen.

Also towards the end I was really starting to wonder what the hell the foot were in this for any way until Karia deliveres one line of somthing from your past is brewing which to me meant they were in this film just to give new people exposure to old enemies without over using them and also foreshadowing events that might take place in the next film.

Overal I really loved this film, Kevin and his team did a bang up job and I believe they deserve a lot of respect and praise for this film. As of now this is 1 for me out of the TMNT films with the 1st one in second ( I know I must be crazy).

I hated cgi for a long ass time myself honestly this movie was killer for me with it's touch of amazing details it really helped me get over the fact that I was so angry I'd never get to see karai in live action form.
I always wanted to see city at war done as a live action movie but at this point I'm happy with what Kevin and the crew have done and really hope thats what he's hinting at for the next movie.
And it really does seem anymore Peanut that people around here don't like listening to reason it's pretty annoying.
I remember when Fast Forward started I did only like it honestly because it was turtles now there are some things I do still like mostly the villians designs but anyways you wont see me flaming people for how much they hate it personally I think they look like a bunch of cavemen spouting about on how much the show pisses them off.
It's seriously just a cartoon & nothing to have a heart attack over.

3. You are predjudiced against the "unreallistic" animation of the movie
4. For some reason, you have an ass backwards obsession with skateboarding (which I may add, falls under the "gimmick troll" catergory)

I just know I hate it when I've read a post once and then someone edits something in and I miss it because I THOUGHT I had read the post already. I don't think it's fair to myself to write something long and thought provoking and then have everyone miss it just because they had already read the previous unrelated post and i had to edit it into that one.

I'm just saying if they WANT to ban me for what the dark side of the internet has deemed double posting (Posting two completely unrelated posts back to back. Personally I don't care HOW many other posts separate someone's posts, if I read something and someone edits something new into it it pisses me off) then so be it..

I think you people have a different interpretation of the internet than I do.. the whole point of it to me is that I can never BE in a hot water or look silly

I think Mikey said it best: The Turtles are back. Definatly looking forward to the sequel. Hopefully Donnie will have a bigger role this time around.

I can understand this sentiment, however much I disagree with it.

Though the fact that you imply computer animation is somehow easy, like a few clicks of the mouse = bam! movie! grates me a little. I would argue that it's almost as hard to get a certain action to look right (especially in three dimensions!) as it is to learn that action. And the skateboard scene was one of the better animated scenes of the movie. Mikey had weight, and you could feel it by watching it. It wasn't real, but it felt real enough. To me, at least.

Heh, I wish I wasn't an animation major sometimes, though. The quality of the animation itself was up and down throughout the movie, especially weak in lipsync. And that, I think, has prevented me from enjoying it as much as I could have... especially since I knew the monster story was going to be cheesy, but I had really high hopes for the animation. Luckily everything was firing on all cylinders for the Leo/Raph fight, which was my favorite scene anyway (everything was good for that part).

I've been digesting the movie all day today (kinda had to, with that crazy pace) and I really do want to see it again... I didn't all that much when I left the theater last night. And I must have watched the "Who said I wanted to be led?!" clip on IGN about 5 times this morning. Awesome stuff. The DVD will be worth it just for that scene alone. Probably my favorite in Turtle history so far. Bonus features will, of course, sweeten the deal.

You won't get banned for double posting, dude. That's just crazy talk. Anyways, I'm only trying to help you out here. You don't need to get so hostile all over the place. And maybe your view of the internet is what's making you a not-so-liked character around here? You can indeed be both in trouble and look silly on the internet, in fact, it's not very difficult at all.

If you're willing to be warned, or what have you, go ahead and keep doing what you're doing. You won't make friends that way, and what's the point in hanging around if you can't enjoy yourself?
