TMNT vol 4 issue 29 - Page 3

Pute: I actually am missing a couple of issues from Leo's sojourn in the Battle Nexus (which admittedly, when I first heard about it being in the comics, kind of concerned me), so I didn't know if he existed in the comics a few issues prior. But you know, for all we know, Battle Nexus was an idea Laird had already set for incorporating into the comics before it became a plot point for the cartoon....

With the help of www.pimpmyip.org I managed to access the part of the site where you create an account..

Then I just filled in my own name and Swedish zip code and it passed.. So I got a mail and proceeded the registration.. And now I've downloaded #29

Oh, right, I used my school mail, which apparently worked :S

HAHAHAHA, I'm so f*cking satisfied that it worked..

So, Rose, you don't have to do you-know-what.. ;o xD

Anybody else hear the Star Wars theme playing through their head when reading that opening summary of past events at the beginning. Kinda reminded me of the classic opening crawl of LucasFilms, especially with Mikey being off in space!

I didn't think about that until you just said it but I'm sure it's more than true, at least them being from an alternate dimension.
I have to wonder though if they are the same ones that are from our world or if those are yet another set of those guys.

Aye.. the Warriors of "Perfect Virtue" are from a scary AU where Al Gore became president.

Oddly enough the current storyline in Amazing Spider-Man also involves Aztec warriors.....

Altho the warriors being dups from different AU's tho would make sense considering the names of the ones encountered were Twelve Ocelot and Seven Monkey Paw. One of them was Ocelot from Earth 12 and the other was Monkey Paw from Earth 7 while Mirage is Earth 3 (in the Battle Nexus eps it was mentioned that the turtles were from 3rd Earth and they even faught somebody from Earth 2).

Maybe the original toon is Second Earth, the new toon is third earth, Zulli's might be fourth, and so on and so on

Only now we're venturing into DC territory. Hopefully we don't end up with a Crisis of any kind

If a Crisis happened, the resulting universe would be something similar to the first TMNT movie, IMO.

EDIT: Finished it. Wow. Remind me never to read Peter Laird's letter Columns again. I'm vaguely annoyed by the whole thing. Especially his lack of justification in justification of reworking Volume 1.

You know, it makes sense that the Battle Nexus is more or less the same as the cartoon one, with Gyogi (sic), the Daimyo, and all. As a nexus of all realities (of course, hence the name), this is where all universes meet. So this is the Battle Nexus from the cartoon, albeit having wonky Lawson art and no colour.

Make a non-anonymous e-mail. It takes seconds to make an E-mail account. They don't even send you much so I say go for it.
