What is the focus of your collection for 2009? - Page 2

Like everyone Neca Wave 2, I'll be getting all the reissues for nostalgia, Probably those other ones playmates will be releasing as well, then random stuff. I need to get playmates statues for don and leo. The compiled books and Ive had my eye on a latex costume.. I really want one of those

So far I had been collecting all sorts of things, from toys to comics and more. This year I'm going to focus on completing my comic book collection, getting all 4 Undercover turtles (only have Raph), adding some art to my collection, getting or making some customs. Also, if wave 2 of NECA is released those aswell and grabbing some of the 25th anniversary stuff that comes out this year.

I'm definatley going to pursue the Playmates Comic based line, as well as the season 7 DVD's with figs.

Also, if they reissue the party wagon, Ill get that, as mines missing the door.

I hope to run into more Power Rangers Jungle Fury figures on clearance. Or regular price, for that matter... just not eBay scalper prices. These really are some nifty toys!

Eagerly awaiting the spring wave of Power Rangers RPM figures, too.

There are a few other figures I'm hoping to get -- like that Spider-Man Juggernaut figure, the 1st and 2nd Doctor sets, and the DCUC Giganta wave (assuming that Mattel's QC has improved; the Riddler I got last week is pure ass in that department) -- but yeah, most interested in the Rangers at the moment. Looking forward to seeing more finalized versions of what Playmates has in store for us, though!

I've been looking for the Wolf Ranger, Camille, and the first wave of Micro Zords. Already got Dai-Shi on clearence and the 2nd wave of Micro Zords in the TRU pack. Aslo got the Super Legends awhile back. That's how Bandai got me back into PR

I'm not sure about RPM either. I find most of the vehicle zords seasons are normally the ones to suck, but you never know. Of course, I might not see it anyways since it's only on ABC now...

Anyways, now that we know a little more of what's coming out, I think I'll be getting Music Shredder and a few others, but nothing specfic.

Ah, so you're looking for the same figures I need! I'd love to have a Wolf Ranger and Camille as well. Actually, I saw a Wolf Ranger on clearance a few weeks ago, but I hadn't started watching the show yet... and by the time I started thinking that RJ was pretty cool, it was gone. (Well, WM still has several of those Wolf Ranger/Rhino bike sets... I'd rather have the Jungle Master Wolf Ranger, but I may have to settle for one of those.) I actually got into the line looking for a potential base for a Casshern custom.

So yes, with its acceptable articulation and low price -- the best value of the toy aisle, IMO -- the Power Rangers line looks to be my focus for this year!

Once they went on clearence, I started looking for them. I figured I could have fun making Dai Shi and Zedd fight over power or something in a later plot for my comic. Figured I'd need Camille to resolve the story. As for the Wolf Ranger, I've been waiting since I was a kid for a purple ranger. It was my favorite color (Blame Donnie's bandana color

)

If you're a stickler for articulation like I am, don't get any of the gimmick figures. Their articulation is pretty much swivel joints at the shoulders and hips and whatever they need for the gimmick (like knees for the bikes). Unless you really like the gimmick, it ain't worth it.

I recognized the name Casshern, but had to google it. I see why PR figures would be a good base. There is 2 (at least one) figure of him out there, but I'm guessing you want him bigger.

...Boy...umm...maybe this should be cut off into a PR toy thread in general
