That, and it's inked by Eric Talbot, which is why, as someone else said, "It looks less blocky." Talbot also inks Volume 4. Sit down and hold a recent Volume 4 issue up to a Lawson-solo Tales issue and spot all the style differences.

And for the record, I think the art we've been given for Smash Up is fantastic.

So I got an issue of Game Informer in the mail today (#197, September 2009 issue, with The Beatles RockBand on the cover), and their release calendar suggests that Smash-Up is releasing Sept. 8th. Um... th' Hell? I don't even remember that being a working release date.

It actually appears that way. Or if there are multiple, they aren't reliant on the match-ups. People keep likening the move in the video to Marvel Vs. Capcom, but it's totally not similar. MvC allowed you to pull out combination super moves. This is simply a switch-out attack - more like Dead or Alive 2, but likely without specific attacks.

Another versus video coming up for PAX, and we get to vote on the characters again. We had Leo vs. Shredder last time, so here's hoping people vote for some of the newer characters this time around.

Well, in TMNT Volume 4...

I like the inclusion of the tag team mode, even if there's only one team special, it will still be a lot of fun. Also, being this close to the release date, I hope they'll finally start to reveal the remaining characters.

Looks like the new versus video will be between April and Nightwatcher, if the poll keeps up this way. Darn, I was really hoping to see Fugitoid in action. He actually looks like a pretty cool character to use in battle.
