I would LOVE to see the Tmnt wearing there red masks. It is the original and like alot of other people have said, it makes more sense because they are ninjas so they should have one universal color.

However, it wont happen. And im ok with that. No surprise. People are dumb if they cant tell the difference. If your a true turtle fan, you wont be confused as to who you are looking at. After a lil bit, you will just know.

I can see how it might be confusing in shots like the one posted above. But all they need is one other cosmetic difference. And even if not, no biggie. They can dissolve into one group when they're not speaking, and I don't see a problem.

But seriously, for an example of how non-essential colored masks are for telling them apart, go watch the first episode of Fast Foward. Unless you're brain dead, you should have no trouble telling who's who, despite the fact that they're all weaponless and maskless. Why? They have different skin tones and different voices. That's literally all you need.

Um, not exactly. The entire debate is about opinions. There are no "facts" to reinforce one person's preference over another. Some people prefer the TMNT in all red, some prefer multi-colored, and I seriously don't see one single "fact" that reinforces that one version is "better" than another.

After seeing this debate pop up countless times for years and years, I think it can also be stated as "fact" that a lot of people care way too much about this.

this is a very good example, since it looks very strange when the turtles wears their masks all the time even when their home. they would take them of often in the comics.

I think that would be a interesting thing to see in the upcoming movie/new show, seeing the turtles relax after a tough day not wearing their obvious sweaty gear

It's a kids movie, kids like colors. "I like the orange one he's funny." When I was in school kids never called the turtles by their names. A few of my friends and myself were the only ones who ever referred to the turtles by their names. Everyone else just called them "the purple one" or whatever. It works and there's a reason they did it. A lot of kids favorite turtle was also their favorite color too.

Having all red bandannas would be nice, a flashback really being the best place to use them as someone mentioned before. This medium is probably the only one where having all red bandannas would be the least confusing. But kids, people who grew up with turtles, and the general public knows them to have colors. You switch that up and people won't be too happy about it.

They're out to make money not to please a small group of hardcore fans. Everyone working on turtles has made it abundantly clear that what we think doesn't matter. Besides movie studios don't listen to hardcore fans anyway no matter how big the base is.

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! That is so true! Even now my friends still call them the red or blue one, or the guy with the swords. That's only because they aren't really all into TMNT.

I've noticed most people I've talked to knows the turtles by their name, getting their colors all wrong. One of my roomies likes Donatello since he's the nerd, she have a thing for nerds they're cute with a aloud awe following. she mentioned all the other color til she got to purple, I slightly nodded and she was very proud remembering the right color.

Naw, that seems to much of an annoying way to put it in. The colors aren't really important. It would seem to much of a time waster. Multicolored for ever!

I know it won't change the minds of anyone dead-set on all-red headbands anyway, but that's not what I'm trying to do. I just had another idea for how they could have both maybe.

They could go the entire film in their all red bandanas maybe, and have April complain about not being able to tell them apart, and they just groan. During the final battle with Shredder (presuming it'd be him again), their masks get torn, ruined. So when they get back and mention that, April just smirks and holds something out to them, unseen to us. They blink, '...You're kidding, right?'. Scene change, some robbery is going down, and the Turtles stop them now in their multi-color bandanas. Credits roll.

I think it'd be a nice way to have both anyway, because then the next film would be just the multi-color ones obviously, and we would have essentially had all-red for one film.

Good Idea but that would mean that the whole film except the ending would be all red bandannas. And just like Spitfire said, It's a kids movie and people want to tell them apart faster. And anyway they look way cooler and independent with their own color. When I think of Leo I think of him with a blue bandanna and etc, that's like having the Power Rangers in all the same color.

I think that scenario would work better backwards.

Like have them in the multicolored bandanas, but before the final battle they (or Splinter) decide that wearing one singular color would be a symbol of their unity.

It's corny, but whatever. I also think there's a tactical advantage to all red bandanas... if they move in and out quickly on their enemies it might give them the illusion that they're fighting one extremely fast mofo instead of 4 relatively quick mofos.

@Turo - I agree, I prefer them multi-colored too, and actually prefer the idea of them switching earlier on over my idea of it taking the whole film. The idea just came to me though, and figured I should throw it out there.

@ToTheNines - That's actually a really cool idea I think. Either way, I now want at least part of it to be all-red so they can do that illusion you're talking about.
