I am sorry. I don't even like the fact they made Shredder an Utrom in the 4Kids cartoon, but I am getting so tired of seeing the 4Kids show dragged through the mud here. I guess I lost my temper a little and I should think a bit longer before I post my thoughts.

All I was trying to say is that it's alright for things to not have to be just like the original cartoon and it can still be good. Utrom Shredder was not a good idea I personally think mostly because it made the character too campy at that point and impossible to take seriously.

I did personally like the idea of the Mystic Shredder, because at least then the character was taken seriously and still seemed threatening. It was nice to see them try to do something different.
I know what u mean I hated the fact shredder was an Utrom and I agree with u that 2k3 series does get slandered to a degree, alot more than the OT anyway. Truthfully I liked the 2k3 better than the OT. Yeah I said! Who's gonna say something

I thought the tengu Shredder was a pointless character, he was a Shredder in name only. at least the utrom Shredder was still ninja and used the human identity of Oroku Saki and was a lot closer to his Mirage counterpart.

I disagree the tengu shredder was originally Oroku Saki and He was a world class Ninja one of the five Ninja Tribunal.

they were know as the five dragons when Oroku Saki was with them and he was not ninja, he was more of a swordsman before he became a demon. He was using telekinesis and energy blasts when fighting the turtles in the lost season.

I wouldn't call him pointless. He was a ruthless war lord that ruled Japan. He started the mythos of the Shredder and made the name legend. Hence why Ch'rell choose to use it when he came to Earth.

He also was one of the most powerful fighters in Japan along with the rest of the Five Dragons which is why they were chosen to fight against the demon.

I liked all of this because it was so different. You can say you don't like the character, I wasn't overly fond of Ch'rell once it was revealed he was an Utrom for reasons I already said, but he wasn't pointless either. Just not taken as seriously as I wanted.

I would of prefer the real Oroku Saki to be utrom guardian that Ch'rell stole his name and look. I feel that the tengu Shredder diminished Ch'rell as a character.

I can understand. I personally would have preferred Shredder to be human and for Ch'rell not to exist and for Karai to be more like her Mirage name sake and less of a whiny brat like she as characterized for a large portion of show.

Unfortunately it is, what it is. At least over all the show was enjoyable and as good of a representation of the Mirage comics I think one could get out a Saturday morning show aimed at kids.

Yeah, but they refer to him as a shinobi/Ninja

I want him to look dead so we don't have to see him in every episode.

While I thought the 4Kids show twist of making the Shredder into an Utrom fit well with the series' universe and was a genuine shocker in Season 2, I think it's time we see the Shredder back in all his flesh and blood mortal glory.

I think you meant "precedent."

Even though Shredder did have his heart set on being president in one episode, even if Krang decided he would have to settle for vice-president.. "just a heart beat away." Muhahaha

This had me laughing out loud Don't know why, lol.

'You speak my name, but you do NOT know me... I am Ch'rell, Oroku Saki, Duke Acureds... the ONE, TRUE SHREDDER! I am a destroyer of worlds... and I FEAR NO-ONE!'

I love Ch'rell.

I don't think people will be pleased with Ch'rell in the new series, even though he is the 'the ONE, TRUE SHREDDER!' Omg, I'll get so much hate for this xD
So I guess we'll have to do with a 'fool so weary of life, that they take the name of the Shredder, Ch'rell's name, in vain.'

EDIT: absolutely no offense to previous Shredders. Just quoting Ch'rell here. I still like human-Shredder's, they're not foolish. Maybe OT-Shredder was a little bit, but he could still fight. I still want him to be serious in the new series and to not have a married-couple relationship with Krang.

Ch'rell is something from the '03 cartoon, I know. This is just something completely new

Hmm, dunno if I would call him a 'minor' character. Although he is killed off in the first issue, he 'returns' to pretty much tear the turtles' and April's world apart in the Leo one shot/issue 10. Return To New York has a fair bit of Shredder action in it. City At War is about filling the void that the Shredder left (to simplify things). Several Tales issues have either the Shredder or the legacy of the Shredder featured (Shredder/Shark thingie, female Shredder, etc). Also, vol 4 (Leo making a Shredder snowman, the Battle Nexus Shredder, etc). In volume 2, I believe that Leo has an inner monologue about what his point is, when not battling Shredder/Foot. So although he does not appear in many comics, I don't think he could be classed as a 'minor character'.

Oh, I think the Shredder should be revealed to be Future-Raph in the Nick toon. Now, that would blow minds!

Um no it wasn't a shocker considering we saw him walk around with no head in the first season.

I sorta kinda liked his outfit for the OT series. ^^ I felt that his outfit for the first movie was completely off. I felt that way as a kid, and still feel that way now. It would've worked if it hadn't have been too big for him.

Personality wise, I know of the whole Utrom Shredder thing for the 2k3 series, and I personally wouldn't want to see that. I like him as a human with flaws. Maybe a combination of the previous Shredder incarnations, but still fresh and new. I liked OT Shredder since, imo, he had the potential to do lethally bad and illegal things (but given the show's target audience, he just couldn't). Seriously, he ran a ninja clan! You know he's killed people and we know if he could have, he would have killed Krang after getting what he wanted out of him.

So, anywho, I want him to be ambitious (like OT), threatening (mentally) to the Turtles (like in the Mirage comics), menacing in general, and not wuss out on harming/killing anyone or even just imply it. I don't want him running away from fights all the time, either (like in the OT series). Seriously, there were so many times in the original series where he actually could've had the upper hand and took those turtles out! But...personality wise, like I meant to say, I'd want him to have most of the character he had from the first live-action film. Totally "badass"...just as long as the outfit fits.

Edit: Forgot this biggie. I want him to be more NINJA like!!!
