Joins with the Krangs, trains them to be the new Foot Soldiers.

Foot Soldiers, they start off as human and later have a robotic army.
Not sure if the humans will stick around as Nick wants the turtles to be able to slice through them.

Baxter does not have a mutation outfit.
Donatello makes a ipod with the most storage space ever and Mikey grabs it and looses it in battle.
Baxter who has a robotic outfit to give him strength finds it after mikey drops it and plugs it in.
The ipod Don built has experimental goverment tech parts that Don found in a dump.
It joins with Baxters outfit and they become one character.
Not much of Baxter is explained but we do see he works at an office when he goes to get some payback.
He also shoots out Mousers from his outfit but they are not explained either.

The Krang are an evil alien race who have come to earth to take it over.
They mutate humans that they kidnap.
Shredder is training them to be the new foot, think robotic foot soldiers.
No word on a leader Krang, right now it sounds sort of like some hive mind race of aliens.

April is a young girl who is found by the 4 turtles when the Krang kidnap her and her family.
They are only able to save April, I'm going to asume the Krang either mutate or kill her parents.
But we will have to wait for the show to tell us that.
She's a flirt, skinny, redhead, doesn't really do anything besides bring the guys food and go to the movies from what we saw.
Donatello has a giant crush on her and I'm not sure if she really notices but she does sort of play into it and leads him on.
She got ticked when he didn't show up to go to the movies with her when the guys encounter Baxter.
Splinter trains April sort of like the Archie comics series, later down the line of show.

Casey Jones will not be in the first season and will be a bit older (18 i think they said) than the other characters (besides Splinter & Shredder).
We will see tags on walls in the city that say "Casey Jones" though.
Also if the love interest between Don & April is kept (please god why! no make it stop!) When Casey comes along it will cause tention because Casey will be the new human male interest for April and it will really tick Don off.

The Foot will be human at first and then from their it seems they want to go robotic so they can have the turtles slice em' and dice em'.

I've never once seen 4 brothers that are all the same size. It's not like there's ridiculous differences; some are slightly taller, some slightly shorter. Donnie is the tallest, Mikey the shortest. They're all generally the same size.

2k7 movie is the only one I can think of, but they had to do it for budget reason, bc of the CGI cost, so they only made One turtle design with different colors and weapons

It's weird to me that so many people here are so against April being a teenager but are so ready to stick Karai in this sub-servant role again like she was in 2k3???

Also April as a teen could work and rather well as long as they make her a well rounded and developed character and she not just "the girl" there to appeal to girls so they will watch the show.

I don't want any daughter in this in the first place. I'd rather Karai just not be in it at all. I was saying if they were for sure going to have somebody have a daughter, it might as well be Karai.

And also, I'm fine with a teenage April. A 19 year old April. She's sixteen hanging out with other teenagers. One of the most interesting things about April's relationship with the turtles was the detachment this adult woman had from these teenage freaks of nature.

What I'm saying is that making April more relatable to the turtles themselves in my opinion. She should be mature enough to actually be any use to them.

I say make her a college student who's fascination has drawn her to them. Maybe even for her own gain before knowing their actually just like real people.

A 16 year old April is definitely not mature enough for the situations that she's going to be put in. (Jeez, I'm taking this pretty seriously aren't I?)

And on second thought, a daughter for Splinter might actually provide some compelling (as much as it can be) stories. I'm betting the first season has a subplot with Splinter trying to reconnect with her in some way.

I agree with this, SH. I think making April a college student would be better for her. She'd have the brains and be mature enough to handle what's going on with the Turtles in their every day lives.

Think about it this way: the Turtles only know the unusual, thus would have no problem with it. Plus, they've trained to fight their whole lives (like military school?) so of course when they encounter battle they will click into ready mode. April, on the other hand, has probably only dealt with typical teenage issues like wondering if the flame-headed kid likes her of if her parents will let her keep her cell phone. In the pilot animatic she was irked because the Turtles didn't come to the movies with on time and seemingly left in a huff.

If she were graduated to around 18-19, girls are much more mature by that point, able to take things a bit more seriously but still young enough to be down for a party.

This is really a generalization.

I know 16 year old girls that run there own website businesses, work in Hospitals volunteering to help people and some that even take care of there families because of deadbeat parents.

I know 19 year old girls that barely are able to hold a job, are in so much debt they have to get more credit cards to pay off the ones they have and I wouldn't trust them to look after a house plant.

Saying that all girls magically become mature and solid individuals when they turn 18 just isn't true.

I am not so concerned with how old April is as long as she is written well.

What are you talking about? It was an Y'lyntian outpost, but they still lived in the sewers. I thought it was neat and had so much space for them to spread out. It was the best lair they had in the whole series in my opinion.

Know what's bothering me most about all this?

People keep saying 'The Krangs' as opposed to 'The Kraang'. That's gonna get as annoying as 'Ultroms' and 'Ralph'.
