Wow I'd never heard the original intro. This made me laugh out loud.
'Found on a floor and raised by a rat.
Now they're ninjas, how 'bout that?'

Not really, seeing as how Shout! has mentioned in the past that normal retailers have shown a lack of interest in carrying 4 disc sets.

Two-disc, thirteen-episode sets are increasingly standard for Shout! Almost every series outside high-profile items like Transformers receives them, apparently due to retailer interest as cited above. (It keeps per-set prices cheap and moves sets off shelves more quickly, in theory.)

That said, I wish I'd remembered that earlier when I was anticipating getting this entire atrocity for less than $20. I'll probably have to settle for less than $30 now, which feels a bit like parting with my dignity.

Na-na-na-na-not cool.

TMNT 3 deserves an Oscar compared to TMN...

Hey, Jester, could ya please compare the episodic version of East Meets West I sent you clips of in a PM to the movie version? I really, really, REALLY want to know if the movie version has any scenes that the full-length American cuts of the episodic doesn't. If so, I want the movie version to be included as an extra. Other extras I'd like to see are the Power Rangers In Space episodes guest-starring the Turtles ("Save Our Ship" and "Shell Shocked") and an interview with Eastman.

I'd like to think the TMNT brand would be enough to push a full four-disc set, but whatever.

Am I the only one who could do that or something?

What I still find weird is Shout!'s own page still has the place holder date, and the real logo.... I'm confused.

Well... You are always complaining about casuals, this means that he doesn't believe you are a casual.

Good to know. A friend of mine would be glad to finally have this series complete and uncut.

So, there's a chance "Na-na-na-na-ninja" theme won't be there? Was there right issues for something?

Nah, I love third movie as much as the first two. Now, Next Mutation and TMNT-2007 I personally could live without.

The Shout! Factory DVD producer, Brian Ward, was directed to this site. Not sure if he's registered or posted yet though. Shout! has been very good with their Power Ranger DVDs, taking in fan input and suggestions. I hope this isn't simply a bare bones release.

Na-na-na-na-ninja! Ninja Turtles!

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm actually tempted to buy these DVDs. I swore I'd never do that either.

It's more than just a chance. I recall reading someone say that Saban sold its music library, and that's why TNM's opening and closing themes had to be replaced. I'm not sure how valid that info is though.

Saban did sell the music, but everything else of his older properties that he's bought back, retains the original music..except Next Mutation and Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog.

This show isn't so great and important that I really expect bonus features, but it would be nice to have the PR crossover episodes on one of the two volumes for sure.

I have great memories of The Next Mutation, and while listening to folks talk about things that went on behind the scenes, I think bonus features would be great. Such as a featurette on the most obvious difference in this series from any other...Venus.
