Shellraiser has a lot of stickers. Biggest pain were the headlights. Had to use tweezers there.

I didn;t catch this before, but I just noticed on Playmatestoys.com they have a countdown clock for the premiere. Had to do a double take thinking it was for the toys, but it's for the actual show kinda cool.

The Shellraiser is quite an interesting new take on what is the 'turtle van' we get in every incarnation of TMNT given it's a subway car that can drive on tracks and on the streets as a van.

It has three openings to it. One in the front for the turtles to charge out and attack, a hatch on the roof for someone to man the missile launcher on top, and one on the side for the action feature.

The action feature has it where you put a character on the pole, spin him clockwise for a bit, then push everything inside and lock up the door. When you push a button on top, the door slides open and the turtle comes out on the pole to do a spin kick on any enemies nearby. It's actually a neat little gimmick for the most part and works really well if not to point your turtle figure might go flying if he's not securely holding that pole. O_o

Now the inside is where I'm kind of torn...there are no seats at all for anyone to sit in. I suppose given how the vehicle was designed it works for the best given it'd be a pain to seat a figure in there, but it looks so empty inside. At least it looks like you can pile the figures in there though...so kind of a figure case?

Applying the stickers included with the toy was actually pretty cool. It felt nostalgic in a way remembering the old vintage TMNT toys. Only thing that was difficult was the mentioned earlier headlights and taillights stickers. You need a pair of tweezers to get these in unless you're awesome at lining up and placing tinky stickers in tiny spaces.

I do notice the Shellraiser is also quite a bit lighter than the previous turtle vans of 1988 and 2003. It worries me that it might be easy to break if rough housed with a bit too much. I dunno.

Really though to sum things up, it's really a neat new vehicle for the turtles in all honesty. I was reluctant to get it a first, but it's really won me over.

I caved... all the pics and such had me salivating for these. Found a seller on eBay selling each for a little under $10. Will have them this week. The way I see it, by the time they even make it to my local Wal Mart and TRU, they'll cost much more than that anyway. So glad they're being sold early!

It just gives him character... It'd be better if it happened to Raphael, but hey, you can't win every time. But seriously, no, mine don't have that problem.

I know some people have mentioned in their reviews of the figures that Raph and Leo's arms stick out a little bit more than Mikey and Don. Simple fix, take a small fine bladed X-acto knife to the shell part of the arm pit. You don't need to shave off too much, basically what you are doing is opening up the lower part of the socket just a little bit. Now Raph and Leo's arms hang a little bit more like Don's. They wont hang quite as nicely as Mikey's because his arms don't have quite as deep sockets, but it's a huge improvement. Just shave a little bit, check the new position of the arms and stop once the elbow pads touch the belt.

I can't remember where I saw the repainted Kraang figure to look like the original toon Krang. But I remember it looked amazing. I've been thinking about things and I'm going to try that I think. Or the neon blue like the show. I'm not sure but I want to get a bunch of Kraangs and repaint them to make them look unique.

Yeah I was a fan of that reprint too. A lot of neat potential with these figures.
