Watched the rest of East Meets West ... Really need a shower. I feel so dirty. It seems they gave up on weeding out the excessive, retarded sfx on ep 3. Also, should they really be referencing 'booty calls'? Or should the big bad dragon be making potion with "dolphin's scum"? It grosses me out that I had to even wonder if I heard that right.

No more today. My ears are bleeding.

Watched TNM eps 6-9 last night. I swear I recognize that Bonesteel guy from somewhere else. They mentioned power rangers in one of those eps too. Shredder had those claw marks on his face, and mentioned about Splinter's ear (which I still don't think it looks like it's been 'pruned') back in East Meets West, but the TMNT acted like they've never known a worthwhile human being by then. So, I guess it's not quite a continuation of the movies after all. Thank goodness.

To quicken the pain though, I plan to watch 9 eps today and the same Monday.

I don't know about "recognize," but he's played by Scott McNeil, who's voiced just about every character in every early '90s-current kids' action cartoon ever.

Just heard the new theme song on youtube and definitely not. I can't recall any music being memorable in the series outside of the theme song though so it might not be a big loss but it still sucks that this isn't the original version. I'm not sure now if the DVDs will be my definitive version or some VHS recordings of the original airings.

Three days had passed since my last check-in, and I only got one ep watched. So much for scheduling. So, last night, I was determined to watch the remaining 16 eps of the series followed by the crossover. I got it accomplished and crashed at 2am. But, it took so much outta me that I slept most of today away.

Now, I thought it was suspicious that they pulled the blatant "drugs are bad" cliche. You mean they were able to find talent willing to make this crappy show WITHOUT being high?? O_o Dunno if I can believe that. The dude that played Shredder was a pathetic actor... unsurprisingly. But, I mean he was terribad. I finally see where Vaugn Michael got the inspiration to call himself "Putrescent" for all those years. I was kinda surprised when the little bald vampire said it. I found it slightly amusing that the first clip show showed clips from the vampire eps that Netflix had it listed before. Since I seem to have watched the pr crossover years ago on YouTube, it wasn't until I rewatched it last night that I noticed their voices in their own series were different. Raph was pretty out-of-character too. Still, I have a little reason to think that the guy who voiced Don in the series voiced Leo in pris. Aside from all that, I can't wait to never watch it again.

I now have 10 weeks left to watch 350-ish half-hour eps and five movies. Pretty sure I can make that.

Interesting! I thought they kept the same voiceactors in the original US Version because both shows were produced by Saban - wo much for continuity ^^

ball's dropped

I really ought to get back to it, but I wanted to do OT next, watching my German remasters for all the pre-Red Sky eps. Problem there is that they require some time-correcting. The syndicated eps I skimmed through all sound like Alvin & The Chipmunks. I guess Irma really was a Chipeete in another life. I checked out "Michelangelo, The Sacred Turtle" from season 6, and it sounded on-pitch, but was still shorter than it should be. So, why am I not getting that done? Both my desktop and laptop are refusing to execute random programs. So, I need to restore one or the other before I can start on it. To do that, I need to find my restore discs.

So, if it's not one thing, it's another. Still confident ATM that I can reach my goal in time. ^_^

No kidding. >_<

Good news, everyone! After searching for over half a week, I found my restore discs! MARATHON BACK ON TRACK!! ^_^ Never underestimate the power of randomly posting your problems on an internet forum. It's like magic.

Good luck finishing up your marathon! I'm just now starting to pick up the 1980s DVDs, and it's gonna take it way too long to get here for me to possibly watch it all before the show starts, but I'm definitely going to rewatch the movies and what few episodes I do have before it premieres.

There's one thing I didn't see listed here... And you deserve to watch it...

But unless it counts as 4kids+Fred Wolf, you need to add Turtles Forever to your list.

Well, I did type it in his voice.

Yeah, I definitely count that as 4kids. Even imported me the uncut version.

Nice to see your marathon is back on target. I find watching too much of anything can make you miss or not appreciate something, yet every year or so there are a few properties I do marathons with.

I said it before, but this time I mean it: I give up. I've spent too long obsessing over how to undo the PAL speedup on my German remasters of TMNT OT S1-7 that I'm gonna lose this race with time. So, I give up... on trying to get the remasters ready for this marathon. I'm fairly certain I can still get 353 half-hour eps and 5 movies watched in the 6 weeks I have left before the premiere... if I put my mind to it.

So, I guess I'll start on the crappy US DVDs of OT Seasons 1 & 2 tomorrow.

Good news, everyone! Life got in the way. Medical junk and whatnot. So, I still haven't even watched the first ep of OT. Why is that good news? Because I was able to figure out how to restore my laptop in the meanwhile. So, now, I can load it up with the German ISOs, play it on a virtual drive with this Reclock program, and output to the projector. Cowabunga! ^_^

Now, I just have to worry about how quickly I have to watch everything if I intend to make it for the premiere. So, I consulted my calculator. I said, "calculator, tell me how many eps per day I have to watch to win this race." Calculator told me, "if you watch 9 or 10 eps a day, and watch all the movies the day before the premiere, you can still win this thing. I have faith in you, gobo. You can do eet!" So, that's what I plan on doing.

Cool! Is it called Calculator because you haven't given yourself time to give it a proper name or you just like the name Calculator ?
Anyways, good luck! I was planning on watching the OT for the past couple of weeks and have been unsuccessful because of the same life stuff.

So, there I was, finishing up the 10th ep, when Isaac cuts the power on me and starts pounding on the door. I grabbed the phone as fast as I could, and dcalled 911. Good thing I have them on speed-dial. It's not easy looking up phone numbers in the dark. Operator comes on and asks what my emergency is. I tell her "Isaac cut my power, now he's tryna break in!" After a few hours, she asks "Is that all, sir?" I say, "Nooooooo. He's interrupting the Ninja Turtles marathon I only have 4 weeks left to complete!" "We'll send a swat team immediately, sir." So, next thing I know, Colonel Schrader drives up in an orthopedic tank, tries to blow Isaac to kingdom come, but misses. "GRRRAH HHAH HAH HAH HAAAAAA!", says Isaac. "What the devil?", says Colonel Schrader. Then, the Teenage Alien Interdimensional Ninja Turtles show up. They kick Isaac's... wherever he musta been hiding it. "Wretched reptiles!" Colonel Schrader was pissed. "It just so happens we're amphibians!" *facepalm* Those were some dumb TAINT. Schrader turns the tank's turret on them. "Tonight, I dine on turtle soup". I yell, "Oh no!" Then Krang with his molecular amplification biosuit shows up outta nowhere and stomps the tank flat. I'm bewildered. The turtles say, "Thanks, but why are you helping us?" "In Turtles Forever, I was told that if any dimension's version of you guys gets killed, the rest of our worlds will die. At that point, I spoke up. "That's not how it went. It's just the Turtle Prime turtles that need to be kept alive." Really? *burp* In that case..." *SMASH* Care for some TAINT purée?"

So, anyway, I'll be a just a bit gathering my thoughts on the episodes I've watched so far.
