Seriously, WTF are you making a big deal out of nothing?
Here's what you said in the Donny Micro thread.

Sometimes I feel like IDW is aiming this series at people who only watched the old show and never picked up a Mirage comic.
So, did you lose your left or right flip-flop?

That was half a year ago before things got more balanced out. At that time we didn't even know Karai was going to appear so soon.

This thread was posted at the end of the first big arc. Of course some people are gonna lose interest if the next story doesn't immediately grab their attention. I feel that sins of the father is going to fail to do that however blood brothers, which seems to begin during the April micro is doing just that. Slash is grabbing everyone's attention from what I've seen. I personally keep reading because of the Baxter Krang bit. I'm really curious.

I certainly haven't lost interest. I don't tend to sit around eagerly awaiting each release with baited breath, but I do grab a digital copy of the new stuff as it comes out and I do enjoy it enough to let the guys at IDW know via Twitter what I think.

I don't think 'balanced' is the right word when trying to describe Idw's Tmnt.

And this pretty much sums up my opinion on this. I still get the book every month, but I just not eagerly waiting for it, like I am with other comics at the moment. And that makes me a bit sad. I like this book. But I don't love it. I want to, but I don't.

As much as I love the IDW series..(it got me back into tmnt) the characters still really don't feel fleshed out. I agree with the few people that mentioned this. I feel outside of the microseries their personalities aren't strikingly different. Raphael was always my favorite turtle but he doesn't seem to be a hothead/wisecracker or really much of anything but a slight outsider in the first few issues because he wasn't with his family. The leo and donnie rivarly also makes no sense to me...but that is probably because I am looking back to previous turtle books. I also find casey jones/april boring in this. I prefer casey to be a little edgier and less of a high school drama story.

Part of the problem with the pacing is the books are just so short. Issue 13's letter section was nearly as big as the comic. How long did the splinter kidnapping thing last? Half a year? This is slow even for comics standards. Still love the book though. Just wish it was a little more exciting. I love eastman's covers though. Issue 12 was gorgeous

They are heavily influenced by the Mirage comics. You should read my IDW/Mirage comparison reviews and you will be surprised.

EDIT: And no, I have not lost interest in this series, with a little more time, it could become my favorite iteration of the Turtles (Mirage comics are currently my favorite).

Wait you have a website? Really? And you compare the IDW to Mirage? No way!

I still am loving this series. It is going on strong still. The only thing that bothers me is Kuhn's art.

Who did the art for the April micro again? They should be the new artist.

I meant to link to the thread.
http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?t=37259

Also, many people ask about the Mirage influence and most of the time, that is what they are looking for. I try to only link to it when it is relavent. I have posted the entire contents of my reviews in the thread and they do not need to click.through to the website.

I am just really excited about the IDW series and am happy to have a fresh take on the Turtles to read.

no but i start to get tired of all the variant covers,i think idw coued have done thinks diffrent like i see a some people complaining on the color classic being color(first dont complain you b&w people got the ultimate collection and i cant wait to get passed issue 11 since thae have not been in color before)
now i think idw woued have earn on it on the long run if they hade keept it more simple with just 2 covers one in color and one b&w so if you did buy the b&w cover the book was b&w and if you did buy it in color the book was in color i think this ide hade been good on both the ultimate collection and color classic etc. and everybody woued be happy
hell i think it coued been cool on the ongoing series aswell wath does you guys think of this???

I'm not sure how people are getting bored with this series. I mean the team has constantly brought their A game each and every issue. They have gotten amazing writers and artist for mini issues, and it looks like they have a lot more coming. I'd love this series to keep going for as long as it can. It is always fun to see different takes. I mean even if I don't like everything going on it is a great new take on a favorite part of my life.

i didnt care for the art in the april issue all that much. i liked how they drew april but that was about it. i would prefer McCaffrey, the guy who just did fugitoid. i loved his stuff, but he lives abroad (in france i believe) so i dont know how that would play out.

Reading the Fugitoid issue makes me want to go back and reread the entire series again! They are at their best right now! I do not know how you could be losing interest?!

Wow...ha, it never ceases to amaze me how much importance folks place on the bandanna colors...ha...anyway, I definitely haven't lost interest. As a matter of fact, I introduced a good friend to this book recently, and he loved it just as much as I do. Reading it along with him lead me to appreciate it even more. This is one of the best books being put out, and I can't wait for each new issue!

This isn't Mirage, this isn't the Fred Wolf Toon, this is something new, a chance to do what Batman: TAS did, to pick from the best, most interesting elements of a wealth of interpretations, and create something really cool.

This thread was posted before the April and Fugitoid issues came out so it's safe to say people's interest has been rekindled.

When Krang's plot gains full steam I'll be quite excited to see how it plays out.

I can see the point about liking the all red for nostalgia sake, but I have to admit it's so much easier to read w/ the 4 color set up.

Bull, they each have different colored skin & different weapons. If that's not enough for you, well, you've got bigger problems.

You shouldn't judge someone based off the colour of their skin
