That isn't what it means to put somebody on a pedestal. At least use google before you try to debate a point.

Read my post again, I was saying how he was not putting her on a pedestal.

If he *had* placed her on a pedestal he would have been against April training to be a Kunoichi. He would have been talking to Splinter about how it was madness that he is training her as a ninja. And that she can't do anything without him around.

And in Kraang conspiracy he would have been telling her she is to fragile to go on real missions with them.

Also in the episodes where April is not present he would be shown whining about what April is doing at that point in time. And with Casey's he'd be worried about what Casey would be doing with April.

But in actuality where April is able to do things on her own both with and without Donnie present.

He tells April to run for it when she's being chased by Karai, because he knows she's not ready to take on Karai's level.

He's actually glad she's being trained in ninjitsu and asks if they could train together sometime.

In Kraang Conspiracy, Donnie does say "Maybe we should take her on more missions Leo, it makes sense." While everyone else is telling April "You are not at our skill level yet."

And in the episodes she doesn't show he doesn't worry about her, he's thinking about the current situation at hand.

Yes, we know you don't understand what the idiom means. It's okay.

You are literally stating that the phrase has a different definition than the link already posted for you.

actually...putting someone on a pedestal means that they think they are cool....perfect...awesome...that kind of thing. :3

so he wouldn't be against her being a kunoichi, he'd be for it....

Donnie puts April on a pedestal because

1) thinks she's the most beautiful girl ever
2) thinks she's "super cool" when she does things
3) puts her opinion above others (like Leo)
4) calls her princess
5) tries to get her attention/be around her a lot

Placing someone on a pedestal means seeing someone as higher esteem then they actually are. Such as someone who is perfect. As in the example they give in the link.

I.E. The way her father put her on a pedestal just made her want to behave badly.

The girl in question wanting to behave badly because her father treats her as the embodiment of perfection, and she wants to be treated as normal.

But it is also an English saying that normally refers to "glorifying or idealizing" an individual or individuals. To "place" or put someone "up on" a pedestal means to have high expectations about how they should behave.

The way you guys talk about Donnie you would think he was Tamaki from Ouran Host Club.

the only difference here is....Donnie gets jealous and rants about Casey to himself.
in other words XD
Tamaki- extrovert
Donnie - introvert

Because Bubbly has actually seen the whole series and you haven't, thus Bubbly can judge this adequately and you can't.

Anything else you would like to know?

I've seen the whole series, and Donnie has some problems respecting April's boundaries. I would go so far as to say that he's in love with the idea of April, rather than April herself, and that's gross.

You've seen the whole series, therefore I respect your opinion. I don't agree with it, but I respect your stance.

Not someone who's only using examples from 45 episodes ago, only because they hate the show to the point even bother to watch the rest.

Can't we all agree that we just want April to decide and get this whole love plot over with already.

Wether it's Casey, Donnie...or my favorite, no one

Not really, because the onus of this shouldn't fall on April.
It should fall on Donnie. He's the one being a creeper.

And isn't the whole point of this thread, showing that Donnie is going to do something about it?

but April's the one who has both boys wrapped around her finger, so isn't she the one that's going to decide which one she wants?? (or doesn't want)

Even if Donnie is told to quit being creepy and stops, he's still gonna want April (same for Casey)

so she's gonna have to pick...(or tell them she wants to be single!)

You're right in that this is how the conflict will be resolved in the show, because if there's one thing we can count on, it's that April will be inevitably reduced to a plot device.

What I'm saying is: The boys' problems shouldn't be made April's.
The onus should be on them.

So the boys? should make April pick them?? I don't understand?

How is it all the guy's problem? They both want to date her...and it's not like they can solve it themselves without April consent.

They could be so kind as to notice that she hasn't asked either of them out on a date, and from that extrapolate that she doesn't want to date them. Without having to put her on the spot.
