Yeah I agree. I'm into 90's hip-hop rather than these new generation garbage rappers. In other words, the 2007 movie album was crap.

To each its own. But I don't remember any of the songs from the 2007 movie. I had both the soundtrack from the first and second movie, and played the hell out of it. The best tracks to me on the Secret of The Ooze soundtrack were Vanilla Ice's " Ninja Rap ( that had the whole theatre hype ! )", Cathy Dennis' " Find the Key to your life ", Spunkadelic's " Creatures of Habit ", Dan Hartman's " That's you conscioness ", and Fifth Platoon's " Back to school ".

I bought the Soundtrack too and was a bit disappointed. Some of the INSTRUMENTAL background music they had in the movie was Fantastic. But then we get only one or two songs like that, and then all the rest is this stuff I only remember hearing during the Credits (except Black Betty)...


As for which movie I prefer, I like aspects of Both.. but if I wanted to watch one this very second, it would have to be 1990. I absolutely love the animatronic work. No amount of computer animation could mimic the emotions the characters displayed...

I hate soundtracks like that. You look at the small print on the label on some of them and it says, "Music From and Inspired By..." Ugh. I'd rather shell out a few extra dollars for an actual score instead of having to hear random drivel slapped on a disc just for filler.

The 1990 film. All three original TMNT films were good, they could have done some more if the same popularity remained after 1993. But I didn't really like that they removed the Jordan Perry-Utrom thing from the 2nd film, the mutagen shall at lteast have it's having origin from an other planet than Earth in all TMNT universes I think (The Utroms in the Mirage comics and 2003 cartoon, Krang helping Shredder in the 1987 carton and the Archie comics). I don't like the 2003 film, it should have another story than those stone figures.

I would have loved more of the score, too. All the songs on the soundtrack were in the movie; only a few were used in the credits. They're easy to miss, though, because they really enhance the scene they're in, rather than draw attention to themselves. And often, only snippets of the song are used (ie, first 6 seconds of Track 10 in the scene with Raph & Casey on the roof after stringing up the robber on the street light).

I like everything almost everything about the 1990 movie better than the 2007 movie. I only like 2007 Don, over 1990 Don. Other than that, I mean all of the turtles had a lot of screen time (although Raph kinda stole the show). They actually fought Foot ninjas, instead of jumping on their heads for like a minute. There was way more emotion in the live action movie. Judith Hoag and Elias Koteas are WAAY better actors than Gellar and Evans(voice acting but still). Splinter seemed more like a father in the first than some teacher that just sort of lives with you. PLUS the SHredder Vs Turtles fight is pure awesomeness as opposed to the 2 minute beatdown of the 4 stone dudes. I dunno about you guys but when I was watching the last fight in TMNT I felt that it was just too easy for the turtles. When I watch Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles I still feel the intensity of the Turtles giving it everything that they've got, but it's just not enough to take out SHred head. Until Splinter saves the day. Now THAT is an awesome ending to a pretty cool flick.
