Couldn't they have stayed in the present time and still be more kid-friendly?? why does every thing have to be time travel. I can't stand it and I can't stand Fast Forward, not for one minute. I can't wait for the Lost Season... Fast Forward has no ambition.

Because, as I understand it, Season 6 was always going to involve a trip to the future. The Powers That Be financially backing the series suggested that since, hey, if you're going to change directions, how would you like to re-brand the series--drum up some interest in a now-stagnating (financially, not creatively, althought one could make an argument for that as well) series? We all know the rest--what's difficult is identifying what was always planned, as opposed to what concepts were added after the decision to make Fast Forward its own series emerged.

As for your claim that Fast Forward has "no ambition", I'd have to disagree, tentativelly: on paper, placing the turtles 100 years in the future is the most ambitous thing they could have done. This incarnation of the TMNT is a collection of quite disparate elements: ninjas, government conspiracies, triceratons, mysticism...it's all been kept quite separate. Given this, what could be more ambitious than placing all these elements in a blender and taking them all to their natural conclusion? Not to mention, it's gutsy as hell--there are so many things that could go wrong, they'd be foolish to try to attempt it. Yet they did, and they have my respect for that, regardless how Fast Forward eventually turns out.

Personally, I love the concept of Fast Forward, at least on paper. Like I said, taking all the disparate concepts and taking them to their natural conclusion? How can one not love it? Whether the staff will actually use this potential is still up in the air, but what I've seen so far gives me hope. Plus...you guys, it's still the same people who brought us the last four seasons. Haven't they earned your goodwill right now?

You have to understand that people would rather watch the Lost Season than Fast Fordward.

And people need to understand that people will be watching the lost season want to make a change buy the dvd's of the lost season and the next season 4 box set coming out and it will show them how much we love tmnt.
Regardless of the lost season Fast Forward was coming anyway so it's really not that big of a deal.

Well not to seem like I'm sideing with him or anything but I didn't like those episodes either.

One being both those villians are annoying as all hell. I can't stand their voices. I didn't really dig the story for them either. And Nano's return was pretty lame being as how he was tossed into boiling hot almost lava.

I agree too. Nano and garbageman were the pretty lame.

Nano suffered from a tired cliche of being the usual "robot with a soul" episode, the character was irratatingly childish, too childish to quite get the point of the story or generate sympathy for the character, just that he should take a bullet, and by the episode's ending, more sympathy was given to the criminal who had bonded with him.

"Return of Nano" suffered from the same cliche, rather than evolve the character and raise questions, Nano was once more a selfish, childish lonesome irritant who was now domineering his parental figure, turning him completly against him (and he seemed to be showing none of the bond he had developed with Nano) and the audience with his stalker like behaviour

I don't like them either...I like nano and the grifter guy harry a bit cause I thought it was a cute story and all but yea I think it's safe to say everyone hates the Garbage man..

thanks even though I was only play Zarius all of your reasons are good.
I dislike Garbage man even more than nano myself though...I mean the guy doesn't even have a story he's just some guy who came out of the sky or something lol.
