Manhunters, huh? So those leaks are all true. I don't know about shapeshifting Manhunters, though. They're not even really supposed to be sentient. They just say over and over again "No man escapes the Manhunters!" Because they're dumb robots. Like Sentinels.

And that energy shield is so stupid. Again, the ring is supposed to deflect thst stuff automatically.

Watched it. I'm still pretty irritated they're not getting the VERY basics of what a Green Lantern is (the ring makes the suit as soon as you put it on which does NOT get dirty or soiled, the ring automatically protects whoever is wearing it with a skin-hugging forcefield, Hal has a secret identity and wears a MASK!) but it's not terrible.

I'm also not convinced this really is showing us dead Hal Jordan at the end of this first episode. Especially since in the same episode they are already introducing time traveling shenanigans and shapeshifting aliens that can look like human. For all we know someone killed an alien or shapeshifting Manhunter that took Hal's form.

lol... OK, episode 2. You can see where this is going now. It's basically Smallville. We have lots of Manhunters running around that don't look like Manhunters and apparently now even the Red Lantern Corps and Atrocitus... but they're all human looking despite none of these characters ever having shapeshifting abilities in anything else. Oh, and Hal takes a trip to Oa and he is the only one there except for Sinestro.

The show is CHEAP. And it's continuing Damon Lindelof's white guilt thing with lots of references to white supremacy and white privilege for no reason at all.

Sad to see. I say this all the time, but Green Lantern could be Star Wars with the right people making it.

lol... and now a Guardian of the Universe is showing up next episode, and it also looks like a normal-height human woman in regular clothes! This absolutely is fu**ing Smallville all over again.

Neither Red Lanterns (demon aliens from a demon planet in deep space), Manhunters (dumb robots that are just like Marvel's Sentinels but in space), or certainly even the Guardians have the ability to change their appearance but on this show they're all just regular guys and girls who shop at the GAP.
