Anyone can say any word they want to. That whole debate as an outsider always looked silly to me.

So people can spell out and say other bad words without needing to censor themselves and everyone will get the nuance if they're just quoting someone. But there's one word that's off-limits? Dumb.

The worst possible insult in Portuguese would be calling a woman "puta" which means whore. And calling a man "filho da puta" which means whoreson. But unless you specifically aim those words at someone, no one is gonna get personally offended. I just spelled them out myself and didn't censor them. I'm sure everyone can understand the nuance of it and the fact I'm not calling anyone here these terms.

"This word is bad and only people with a certain amount of melanin can say it" just doesn't make sense to me and lots of people outside of the US(possibly Canada and the UK as well...).

I remember some Ukrainian footballer who moved to the UK to play in the Premier League and an old video of him on social media resurfaced where he was singing along a rap song back in Ukraine when he was 16-17 years old. This led to a MASSIVE thread on r/soccer with most Americans and British users being upset at the kid while everyone else was just indifferent or confused at what the hell the kid did that was so wrong.

Also why do they think the drome is full of Trump supporters? There's like 2-3 people here who are pro Trump, 1 of which was Residentevil7 who got banned after he complained about Mexicans stealing his job and maybe 2 other people. Everyone else doesn't care or doesn't talk about it.

Each of those people who go on with this play-pretend "movement language" never got over being picked on in High School. It's as if modeling that language gives these people an outlet to play-pretend they are "part of something". And even better for their delusion - "part of something as the the good guy".

3 I am good and accepted and a leader in life and this is finally the proof of it

The real irony is that I've delivered this psychology as a function of algebra to make it digestible, but the people I'm describing can't do real math anyway, so....

Points 1 and 2 have been eroded till the point where it no works as a rallying cry like it once did.

If you have seen the Instagram reels and the direction of Gen Z public opinion, you know what I'm talking about.

The Nazi as the ultimate enemy has justified much of the direction of society. Whether it be liberal values or the creation of Israel, it has all been done as a reaction to the Nazis.

But when the Nazis are no longer the ultimate mother of all evil for the young people living nowadays, everything taught in response to them will come crashing down.

That's not me endorsing any specific ideology, that is merely my observation.

Yeah, it is kind of odd.

I wasn't around other than a periodic check in, but ~5 years ago you had more chuds (Sumac the sweetie, fat disgusting pedo MrMacZaps, a few others that have been banned) seemingly always doing battle with a Turbolib mod (Voltron).

It's not what it was 10+ years ago, but there's still a pretty wide diversity of personalities/interests/opinions and we mostly get along. But I guess the reputation is stuck.

The turtles' lifestyle similar to these kids living in war zones or among the lower classes. Besides being trained as child soldiers, they also have to find ways to survive daily, food or other necessities. Even though they are teenagers, their environment forces them to be pragmatic and mentally mature.

You can't say this is bad because this is why they can be indifferent to these criminals and even kill them without hesitation. They might grieve when they lose someone important, like Splinter, but not for nearly six months like the IDW turtles. They will quickly change their mindset and turn to more important matters, because crying won't help and will only make things worse.

For some reason I keep seeing people post pics of the Playmates Scale Tail toy on r/TMNT....like constantly. The weird thing is by the usernames its a different person each time. Each post is, "Look I got Scale Tail" or "Here is Scale Tail in the box" etc.

I understand it's a cool figure, but I don't know why I'm seeing it so much.

Reddit has a ton of bots who post new threads just for the sake of karma farming.

This is why I'm glad the Drome does not have a reputation system or a like feature like other forums often do nowadays. It leads to circlejerking and people being wrongly judged just because their reputation, karma or amount of likes is not that high.
