I am not entirely writing off new episodes just yet. But, it was pretty apparent for me, that quality of the show was in steady decline since Season 2. The last 4 episodes of Season 3 were for the most part meaningless fillers / pop-culture rip-offs, based around the same Mutant of the Week premise, which is definitely not to my liking. I though Croaking was cheesy and rushed. I didn't like this episode.

Personally, I don't see how the way I watched series could change my opinion about it. If anything, it would have been probably much worse, if I watched them normally. At least now, I had luxury to immediately wash away aftertaste from bad episodes with good ones, which naturely improved my opinion about the show as the whole.

Now, when I am in the same boat as everyone else, there is no way for me to say "there were some bad episodes this season, but main arc made it worth to sit through", because, I don't know what will happen next. I will judge each episode on its own merit, not as part of a bigger picture, with all consequences it entails.

I agree with everything you say here. I would have thought a Northampton arc would have provided a really good opportunity to show the turtles reeling from Leo's injuries and the loss of Splinter. But no. If anything the plots are getting increasingly surreal and... Just plain stupid.

I have hope though. I'd like to think its a temporary lull. I'll keep watching in the hope that it will get better, but seriously... Enough with the frickin' mutants.
