I have a VCR too (2 actually), but I don't use it to record off of TV anymore thanks to my cable (when I had it...now I watch the few TV show I actually follow online) going to digital receiver boxes. I used mine to record up until the end of Back to the Sewer.

I don't know. I didn't think Yakko or Pinky sounded anything like Raphael or Don.

What's wrong with VCRs now?

Pete not going out of his way to watch this (I've seen it playing over again up to 2 times daily, so it's not like he can't try again - plus it's online for free) just tells me that it's not something he's actively concerned about/

See, that's why I read it as sarcasm. I mean to me it came off as "Oh, golly I mean to set my VCR..." but I may be totally off base.

I thought this episode did a great job of introducing the TMNT to a new audience while doing a great job of satisfying fans of past incarnations of the Turtles all at the same time.

Obviously the show being on Nickelodeon means that the violence level of the show won't be high, but there was definitely enough in regards to a ratio of action to story.

While it's still early, the new show has so much promise and I can't wait to see the rest of it. I'm already sold.

Whoa, so late to the party. But I gotta go on record saying I loved it! Oh man, I had high hopes but it was even better than expected. I'm one of the older fans too. I went in thinking it would be too kiddy for me to latch on to (not that I would mind really... this is a new generation's TMNT after all), but it got me good.

The action is solid! Their movements are amazing, the animation is top-notch. I had to watch certain scenes a few times just to catch all the little nuances. The attention to detail is really something. I love the voice actors, I love the 2-D fade-outs, I love their interactions with each other... I love the background music! There was nice stuff behind the Kraang HQ fight scene, sort of a hip-hop beat with a classical overlay. Very smooth. I think it was mentioned earlier, but I would like to see a soundtrack release at some point too.

Thank you Nickelodeon, you guys killed it. I know we're only two episodes in but if the rest holds up, this is easily going to be my favorite 'toon out of the three.

I hope this happens. I hope they also have multiple vehicles with turtle decor and their logo written on all of them because that is very inconspicous.

Which one of those do you think was found and showed on TV????

Yea... I think you are right...it is the most probably...as Robots and Snakeweed were remove from the places to avoid be seen by common people by the Kraangs... then Van "accident" with only a human drive it...that was the lost shuriken! Thanks!

You're welcome, Luz. It makes sense in a way if you think about it.

And, Sweaty, I agree with you. Nick totally killed it, and I can see this series being a mix of serious and silly. I admit, I had quite a few misgivings about this show, but now they have faded. I love it and can't wait to see what they do next.

Darth Shredder? Yeah, it's there. This Shredder is a burn victim too.

Does anyone find it a little disturbing how, in this episode, the Turtles were willing to BLOW SOMEBODY THE **** UP?

(Snakeweed, that is.)

Not really. I thought that scene was pretty cool.

I think it's just a little early for the Turtles to be cool with murder? In a kids' show?

And I don't think they really went into it with the intent to 'kill' him. They went in to 'stop' him. Not that that's much better from a real world stand point I guess, but still.

Looked like self defense to me.

I have watched this episode 3 times! My favorite joke:

Don: We got to save 'em!

Leo: Splinter's instructions were very clear. We're suppose to stay away from people....and bathrooms.
