2013 TMNT Figures - Page 23

So I found all the Ooze Launching TMNT figures today at Wal-Mart. One of each. Donnie and Raph has some major bad paint apps, so I bought Leo and Mikey.

Mikey's okay for what he is, but my Leo's backpack wouldn't go in for some reason. I worked at it, trying to find a way to get it to go in, but the lower connector on his back was warped or something and upon trying to maybe fix it, that part broke. O_o
His backpack goes in now okay, but now he's missing that lining on his back to cover showing the backpack connection. I hope this isn't an indication of things to come QC wise with the new toys...

I agree. It looks surprisingly good. I can't even see the color difference in the photo.

You said it was a tight fit, but does it restrict movement? Did you have to modify anything?

I was able to fit the head on without doing anything but it was incredibly tight. You gotta really twist it to make it move. I shaved off parts of the ball joint on the neck and it swivels easier. Not necessary though.

good for you.

Me personally, it looks incredible off. Not only by the scale, but also by the head shape and the jarring different art/designs that the two different figures hold.

In regards to the Classic TMNT figures I do hope that Walmart and Target don't drop the ball and give it to the other team by refusing to get them in.Yes our Walmart didn't get the Classic Turtles just TRU was the only store that got them.Just like the sewer playset.

Neither my Walmarts nor Toys R Us ever had the classics but surprisingly my little LCS did. Hopefully he'll get wave 2...

I'm very excited about Bebop and Rocksteady coming in Classics Wave 2! I hope that means they're confidant enough at Playmates that the obligatory Shredder (and April) (and Krang) (and...) will have a chance too! At least we're getting deeper than Neca had the chance to...

Ahh, I see. No, that is what I've gotten, it's just that "watery" means "thin" to me, like it doesn't hold together and flows. This stuff does take on the shape of a container, but it's slow to flow. You can see it in the video, in fact, he has to shake and then pull the stuff to get it moving significantly.

I agree! I'm very excited too. I'm just not sure why they only decided to release two figures for wave 2...why not do shredder also?

Maybe they're like Hasbro is with their Transformers line. They have various Transformers line going a lot of time lately, but if a character like Jazz is in the movie line, then they don't allow him to appear in the other line until much later because they "don't want to confuse kids".

Bebop and Rocksteady would confuse kids more then Shredder, they're not even in the new show.

Considering Playmates had both the Nick and Classic Turtles out at the same time, I don't think that's the case. However, stealing again from Hasbro's playbook, maybe it's a case of they didn't expect the line to take off so well and now they're scrambling to make whoever they can with what time they have (ala: GI Joe 25th Anniversary)

Or maybe this has been the plan all along and they're just dragging the line out to cover more time

The Classic line is more oriented to collectors in my opinion. But B&R could work very well for kids market too, more than a classic Shredder.

I know it's getting redundant for me to say this, but please Playmates get your heads outta your a$$es and get better distribution of these figures! There should be no reason at all as to why they aren't released worldwide at the same time!

Anyone else's Metalhead have a shell that isn't super tight around the hip joints?

Also I just took him apart to fix it and which foot is his right and left?

Never mind just found the r and l they were up in the tops.

Please, don't blame Playmates for something they can't control. Blame the weird contractual issues they have to put up with in these situations. They even said last year that they were getting the new TMNT product to international retail as soon as possible.
