Mmm, the Battleshell figures, short of their unpainted mouths, seem to be really quality figures. I'll have to get those sometime down the line.

Well, it's an opening shell, don't see how else they would do it.

I still like the first versions better, but I guess it's since I have never seen the show.

I'm with you there. I think the battle shell ones look okay, but they're not as good as the 1st wave figures. But, like you, I'm not a big fan of the show. It's a little too goofy for me.

i mean, i get why some of you are upset about the first wave not being toon accurate, but they rarely are. The current classic line is as close to the 80s toon as the first wave of this run is to the current show. The 2k3 series, original 87 line...not very accurate. The only exception i can think of is the 2007 movie line.

I watch and enjoy the show, and I still prefer the original figs. They're just a great design, and extremely detailed. In comparison, the Battle Shell figs are almost robotic in appearance. The facial expressions aren't as good either, in my opinion.

Still cool though.

I mix read this, given the overall feeling of the board I read this as "bull shi mikey doesn't have..." But rereading it realized my mistake. But still he doesn't have the same head as ocm. I think bsm's isn't even mirrored, it looks more leveled in the pic I have.

That's the way I read it too, but I still understood what was being said. In fact, it took me a few reads of this post to finally understand what it was supposed to be. I just brushed off the "bs" as playful banter or just being a normal forum member...

I'm just down about how disappointing Spider Bytez turned out. I don't even have him yet and I know he was a trap. He's way too small, his articulation is low and he doesn't even come with any accessories. If he was at least Snakeweed's or even Dogpound's figure size, it would've worked and I seriously thought his legs would at least be a swivel, but even that wasn't there. Thanks for making him even more unlikable Playmates and expect him to become a major shelf warmer.

The new Shredder is definitely way better than the original version. The only really good thing about the first version is that he got a sword but other then that the new one wins all the way. I can't wait to get him.

I still think Shredder 2 has a weird helmet shape..like a cow's horn compared to the other two Shredders (first line and SDCC). I'll be getting him as well anyway.
