Any "soft spot" Shredder had for Karai would've been shown by now. Basically, he has none of the sort.

Karai is and always will be just another soldier in his eye, that also gives him a psychological edge over Splinter, not a daughter he really loved or enjoyed taking care of. If she ever turns on him or stops being useful, he'll ditch her. Plain and simple.

Agree with this. Plus any soft spot for Karai would probably disappear now that she knows the truth.

IDK I heard Shredder's voice actor say we're gonna see Shred's soft spot for Karai. So I'm just going off that.

I don't know where the interview is though T^T I'll have to look for it.

Guess I got caught in the excitement over the last one and wanted to believe it was real.

Ah well, wish it was real, but they can still pull off the reveal without having it go that way to be good.

Yup, the show has always been in good hands, so I have no doubt of that. I got all excited too, but no big deal. I think they'll mix the shipping along with the usual action sceens. So far they're handling the triangle thing pretty well. Highly doubt they'll make too big of a deal of it since it's a kids' show.

Well, Shredder won't have a soft spot for Karai if Tiger Claw makes up stuff about her. After all, it could be that she's not working alongside the Turtles and Tiger Claw just says that to get Karai out of the way. Shredder, feeling that he can trust Tiger Claw because of his past with him, believes his story and throws Karai in jail. That's the way I see it anyway.

but She's still his daughter....kinda.

He raised her....and she seems to care enough about him to save his life.

IDK...I just don't see Shredder throwing her in jail...just because she disobeyed him. (she's rebellious already...I think he's used to that)

sure grounded....but jail? If Shredder didn't want Karai on the turtle assassination job, he'd just tell her to stay outta the way.

Sorry to disapoint all the shippers but the storyboards are indeed fake. Another poster on tumblr who has images of legit turtles storyboards confirmed it by showing legit storyboards and comparing them. When you compare them its obvious that these ones are not real. He raised her to be a soldier, not a daughter he can love.

Until I hear Shredder actually say "I love you" (without possibly lying through his teeth) or show some genuine concern for her that transcends that "I keep you around because you're useful to me" shtick, you won't convince me otherwise. So far of what we've seen between him and Karai, nothing suggests he has an ounce of compassion towards her and is strictly a 'master and follower' relationship.

Yep, I agree with DLD here. Shredder even told her she'd be punished if she disobeyed him, and she did that twice. I don't see Shredder sparing her one bit because he'll be angry toward her for what she did. Daughter or not, he's still her father and still needs to be obeyed. She even asked if the consequences would be dire for even his daughter, and he said, "Especially for my daughter." No love there.

Shredder's attitude towards her is if you want me to love and care about you, you have to earn it. Personally I don't see him as the sort of father figure who would do things like read stories, look after he when she's sick, take her too the park or what not.

Instead he pretty much lets her raise herself. He lets her do almost whatever she wants, whenever she wants. All that he requires of her is that she be a good little soldier and does as she is told.

And goes through the motions of being a father when it comes to teaching her Ninjitsu and when he deems it suitable to see her which is namely to plug her head full of lies about Hamato Yoshi is the man who killed her mother.

Knowing every he sees Karai that he sees the face of the woman who he had once loved as well as the Man who took her from him.
