It was a very broad turn of phrase written in extreme annoyance, fair enough? I was a bit bullish about it, but I was just making a point that people who try and take disagreements with me to a personal level end up not lasting long around here, always through their own actions.

Like I said, though, I've never even reported anyone, and never had to. People just have a way of disappearing shortly after getting into one of those pissing contests with me. Was almost a daily thing at one point. If I were offered a Mod spot, I'd turn it down, and have.

I just want people to quit the name-calling over a silly movie. I know I've done it too, but again, it's simply retaliatory. You have no idea the amount of restraint I"m really exercising with certain people who are making it their mission to antagonize.

And how would someone *physically* vanish someone through a computer screen, exactly? Although... come to think of it... everyone I ever wished death upon IS dead... but they totally deserved it. I'm talking about, like, the guy who killed my mom, or the chick who tried to kill my wife, people like that. I just sort of wished them dead until they were. Which was awesome. But I'd never waste that kind of super-power over something as trivial as this.

Fair enough. I feel like it's a bit of a two-way street is all. Just my opinion. I hope you find something to enjoy about this film.

I'm sure I will, but I don't think I should have to like all or even most of it to earn a right to speak. It doesn't look worthless. Every "Pirates" movie after the first one is worthless, this just looks off the mark by a fair bit, which is hardly the same thing.

Except for the fact that it's not. You were the one who started the name-calling and even then, I replied back with no antagonistic intent or insult unlike you!

I consider your childish gif-meme-whatever fairly similar to "name-calling' in that it was blatantly antagonistic. I made a point. You quoted me, and replied with some nonsense about "not being able to handle change", and did it in a way that was entirely designed to get a reaction. So, I indulged you and gave you a reaction. I'm simply not going to betray my Celtic heritage and NOT call someone a "C-word" if they're being one.

Some change is great. People who act like you did before, eventually hopping off the forum when the movie's hype dies down? Man, that'll be a welcome change. Even Obama can't deliver change as refreshing as that. Then people can get back to actual conversation and not snark and flame-bait.

The people who don't wanna see this pile have already given a thousand valid reasons. You ain't "backed up" sh*t, yourself, buddy.

A pity everyone isn't as f*cking easily amused as you are and can see through the marketing bullsh*t. Poor us.

And I make it a rule not to single people out in general, but seriously, you're f*cking annoying.

So many of the cats who have only started posting regularly the last few months are acting like attention-starved little braying jackasses. Over a f*cking movie. Honestly, I hope this is the last one. I sincerely, truly hope they never even TRY to do another TMNT movie, because you people are f*cking idiotic over this sh*t. Let it die for all I care, if this is what it turns people into. F*cking pathetic.

Literally nobody is saying, "This movie sucks, agree with me or you're stupid." There are, however, quite a few people saying, "This movies is badazzz, and if you don't think so you're stupid," or something similar. Find me an example of one of the "haters" or "whiners' or whatevers actually saying what you accuse them of saying, that they have to agree.

Nobody's saying, "Agree," they're saying, "don't act like a child." Period. And furthermore, people who have been here for any decent amount of time shouldn't stifle themselves for the sake of a few people who aren't even still going to be kicking around this place in 6 weeks or so.
Wow.. You know what? YOU are the only one being a hostile child the past couple of days. Are you so miserable and angry that you have to lash out at people for talking about how excited they are? How the HELL do you get away with speaking to people the way you do? Stop putting a damper on everything kicking and screaming and having the nerve to tell people to leave the movie section bc they are a little to excited about the movie getting positive reaction. Honestly wow lol.. Did you really just say that you were tired of people talking about this movie and that they should leave the movie section? Get a grip dude.. If you have a problem with people jumping for joy over a movie they've been waiting for for years now maybe you should take a hike. Stop acting like an angry kid that just dropped his ice cream cone. Are you going to act like this before every sequel? Also.. there are a few youngsters on here.. Can you kindly stop with the constant F-this and F-that every other sentence? If it's " just a movie " then is it worth throwing a temper tantrum over? Cheer up buttercup

It'd be super-nice if those quotes were presented in the context they were given. As in, replying to some idiot's nonsense.

Whatever, guy. Enjoy the time you have left on here. It's gonna be brief.

Show me how I contradict myself.
That doesn't invalidate my point because it would require the Foot with guns to go from Storm Trooper aim to actually be able to hit the turtles later. That's really dumb way to go about hiding then revealing something like their bulletproof-ness.

The foot putting up a fight or not wasn't my point. There's no logical way to believe that non superpowered enemies could capture and lead the turtles by those dog catcher wands. It's a complete lack of internal logic.

The contradiction lies in the technology on his back and how it relates to him building his retractable bo. Either he can build things out of the garbage that small and portable or he can't, which means the bo and the bulky proton pack are contradictory to his abilities.

the way it was originally written, on first read, seem liked you were alluding to having 'friends' that could 'fix problems'.

so either, mob connections, or ninjas. either one sounded cool.

My dad could've. He used to run drugs for a certain prominent gangster's son who owned a bar he used to go to. Before I was born, apparently. He always told those stories with a little too much enthusiasm for my taste. Like, that's not sh*t to be proud of, for one, and secondly, I always figured you weren't supposed to talk about that kind of thing in case they came after you.

But I remember one time, my dad's girlfriend and his son were living with us, and the guy robbed us blind and skipped town with his own junkie girlfriend, and Dad made a big deal about "calling in a favor" on him. That was a tense couple of days. His girlfriend was sure her son was gonna turn up dead someplace. The cops found him instead, but I honestly wouldn't have been upset if it had gone the other way. Guy's a scumbag and he would've deserved it.

But no, I barely have any friends period, let alone "connected" ones. I don't even hang out with people who deal drugs, and literally everyone has friends who sell drugs. I have a very small circle with a strict "No Criminals" policy. That's funny though, I can see at a glance how you could read it that way. If only, man. If only.

I think a guy I wrestled with worked under a hood a few times as a "ninja", can we count it?

Haven't seen the movie yet, so how could either one of us say they were even shot at before the moment they find out they're bulletproof?

Like comic book movies require logic...it's called suspension of disbelief. There are plenty of Super whatevers, who get captured or beaten by lesser opponents in super hero movies, why does it have to be different here?

You call me contradictory, I call you reading comprehension impaired lol. You said if he was so advanced technologically why doesn't he have everything he creates be super small. I offered the opinion that he's getting his parts from junkyards and sewer run off. That doesn't mean everything he creates is either big or small. What it means, is that he's not working for a major company who is trying to mass produce smaller and smaller technology. He's working with what he has. Some things will be small, some things will be big.

i wont say much, but my grandparents made a less than 'clean' living back home (home being the Philippine Islands) - and regardless of the way its romanticized in films/tv, I'm glad its nothing my own parents got involved in.

As Aragon said, "I do not want that life, I have never wanted that life." or something to that effect.

NOW, if my family could trace its origins to actual Ninja clans...then sign me up. NINJAS > MOBSTERS any day.

Some mobsters ARE ninjas. How else could they get a whole severed horse head into someone's bed without waking them up?

I do believe that the promotion from Comic-Con will help the movie this weekend and the weeks to come. It apparently worked for Guardians of the Galaxy according to the Wrap.

Quote:
The Comic-Con Bump
When Marvel announced a 2017 sequel to “Guardians at last weekend's fanboy extravaganza in San Diego, it set visions of “Avengers” crossovers dancing in the minds of the true Marvel faithful. Greatly motivated, that crowd turned out in force on Thursday and delivered a 2014-best $11.2 million. That translated to a $37.8 million Friday. They gave the movie an “A” CinemaScore and quickly spread the word on social media. “”They were tremendous ambassadors for us,” said Disney distribution chief Dave Hollis.
