It just occurred to me on why the writers thought to turn Raph into a flower. If all it took to turn a mutant back to normal was to suck the mutagen then what's the point of retromutagen?

It's off for me too, but I am hoping he will start to adapt his more higher pitched voice. That would work better for Leo than the gruff voice. Seth's voice work in Without a Paddle was really good, and that tone would work best for Leo IMO.

You have no idea! So many Raph fans have had it, and have quit the show because of how Raphael is being handled. April has been having way more action and seems to be a more important asset than Raph is on the team. It's really uncalled for that Raphael seems to be absent for all of the big fight scenes lately. I'd like to know why the writers are doing this.

Well, maybe they're building up to something later. I can't wait for the backstory of how Raph got that chip in his plastron. But as I've said before, I do feel your pain, Raph fans and would probably feel the same way if Leo was the Turtle who was shown less.

Honestly, I'd love a flashback episode with them as widdle turtles picking their bandana color and weapons and such.

Maybe that how we see unmask Raph before receiving asswhupping of a life time.

We only see them unmask when they are in a world of hurt.

Those of us who had high hopes of seeing unmasked Raph in this ep itself have been trolled by Ciro & co.!! I can totally imagine them laughing "fooled you all"

Though from Mikey's reaction Raph looks terrible without his bandana on?

But Raph wasn't beaten to a bloody pulp like the other three. That's actually a requirement.

He probably looks different without his mask on. Like his eyes looked even more slitty and maybe even scary.

Or maybe he's eyes are puffy like Steve Buscemi?

Although those of us that wear glasses all the time probably all look a little odd to people who know us if we take them off. Maybe it's similar for the Turtles if they aren't going barefaced at home much.

This was my last attempt to color Raph's bandana as close as possible to his skin color so it looks transparent (from far), though I'm not even close to Photoshopping it away as I originally intended. Any Photoshop experts here?

This right here, my lovely 15 yr old niece, who wears glasses also, told me I looked weird without mine I was just like thanks, you little brat, I love you too.

I would have done the same thing to my older brothers and sister, since I couldn't physically over power any of them, but, I sure had a mouth.

Yeah but Mikey didn't comment that Leo looks horrible without his bandana on.

Or maybe Leo already looks horrible due to the beatdown and the unmasking seems like nothing in comparison

Leo might also look a bit squinty out of discomfort/pain that he's still healing from and still getting his brains back together after being knocked out for three months.

Anyone knows who yelled "help" right before Leo came to rescue the whole gang from the Creep? Sounds like Raph's voice but it couldn't possibly be him as he was already turned into a "plant". And it's the call for help that distracted the Creep to come out of the shed in the first place, so that leaves Leo himself as the only one who wasn't trapped in the shed. But why would he call for help when he is the one coming to rescue the rest of them?

Yep, I think it was said at Comic Con that we'll find out how Raph got the chip in his plastron. I can't wait for that.

It sounded like Leo to me, and he did that because he wanted to call attention to The Creep to make him think he was in trouble so he could be easy pickings. Then Creep comes out there and Leo says his epic, "Give me back my family, freak" to let him know that it's on now.

Ah, that probably it. Thanks for elaborating your theory. I probably heard it as Raph's voice as it definitely didn't come off as Leo's voice to me (I'm still so used to Bigg's/Dominic's version) and Raph's was the closest, to me at least. Guess I still need to listen to Seth Green's rendition for a few more episodes before I can fully identify his voice as Leo's.

Yeah, you probably thought it was Raph's voice at first, but I knew it was Leo's. Don even says, "Leo" after Leo calls out.

Exactly. In this episode alone he got beat up/taken down by April; he got taken out by Creep without a fight when Every Single Other one did manage to put up a fight against the Creep; then turned into a dog/plant & then a plant, so he was useless in the episode while everyone else was useful.

For those who keep saying the writing on the show is so 'great/excellent'...

How is it that a Turtle who has spent at least 3 months in a Coma and Just Woke Up (Leo) can put up more of a fight than someone (like Raph) who has been absent for most of the big fights as of late (especially the season 2 finale), thus shouldn't he be the freshest of the daisies? And, of course, because Raph hasn't...well...Been in a Tub for 3 months like Leo Has?

It's possible that sucking mutagen out only works when you are mutated twice.

Raph was just suffering from the Worf Effect, that's all.


In all seriousness, I think he was taken down so easily because he was always staying vigilant by Leo's side when he was in a coma, not getting much sleep. So when he actually did some fighting, he was pretty exhausted from lack of sleep.
