Meh, I still don't see it that way. I don't feel that in the actual show that this "Apritello" thing is hogging the spotlight, unless it's an episode dedicated to it and I still feel that the worst offender in this sense is definitely the Ho Chan episode. Other episodes, it's been secondary as it should be or just used as a plot convenience (Target April O'Neil).

This is why people, to me, are making too big a deal over it. There are still other sides and facets to Donnie's character other than April.

My first cousin, whose about my age, was never really into TMNT. She liked X-Men and Sailor Moon. But, there were times when I was watching her youngest, and I would stick in the Nick toon for the little one to watch, and she became a pretty big fan of Mikey. I remember back when Hallmark had this christmas gift of two small stuffed dogs that had magnets in their noses so that when you moved them together, they'd 'kiss'.

I'm predicting we might see something like this with Donnie and April...

I think ultimately April should just fvck Donnie and get it over with. Gives him something to hold on to (in more ways than one) and perhaps then he can be satisfied knowing that he had sex with her once.

I love how people continue to mention shipping incorrectly. Again, shipping it stuff that is NOT in the show and the fans MADE UP out of wishful thinking or whatever.

Don and April is not shipping. He actually does have a crush on her in the show. April did actually kiss her on the show.

Raph barely talks to April in the show. Fans making stuff up like 'Raph needs a girl like April to calm him down' or 'Raph would be so totally perfect for April' follows by tons of Deviant art of April and Raph as a couple. THAT would be shipping.

Well, to be fair, I think there's two types of shipping. There's canon ships that are canon to the show/book which an example would be Harry/Ginny from Harry Potter. A fanon ship would be something a fan makes up such as Raph/April from TMNT. I always figured shipping was just another way of explaining a pairing from a certain show or book and that it was short for relationship, so that's how I see it. And in this case, if Apriltello is now canon to the show, then it's a canon pairing or a canon ship.
