Well, I keep hearing in interviews that the show is supposed to get darker. And they did show that with the difference in the S1 and S2 finale. I have yet to be really bothered by an episode. I like these turtles. Spoiler:

But looking at that concept art makes me want to see Glen Murakami version of TMNT as long it has the same serious tone of Teen Titans.

The airing wouldn't be so bad for me since I watch everything online anyway, which bugs me why Ciro or the executives still try the episodic thing, since it's not like in the olden days where if you miss an episode you were crap out of luck if it didn't get rerun. Most people can watch a bunch in a stretch now on their computers, so it's not like they couldn't catch up on the plot once it was underway. Sure it might have been necessary in the first season, but once all major players get established? There is no point to it after that, and the developing story should be the thing to draw in viewers next. |

I know it's likely one if not two of them had a good cry off screen. But it would be nicer if we did have a moment where that wasn't all glossed over with the excuse that it's a kids show. Just because it's a kids show doesn't mean the characters are made of stone, they do have emotions, they do get hurt, and they are impacted by the things around them. |

Some of you seem to forget that Mikey has ADHD/ADD (you need to read up on it. I know someone at work has ADHD, he works hard but sometimes he does make a silly mistake but we know that's expected). So it is expected that Mikey will do silly stuff like running around trashing the living room ect and as Splinter isn't with them, there's no rules.
Someone wrote an interesting article on Mikey on Tumblr and it's a good long read. http://mysillylittlesoapbox.tumblr.c...restimated-and Some of you need to stop whining and stop taking it so seriously, it is only a kids show (well it's supposed to be anyway

Like kids shows can't be written well. I can enjoy Regular Show, Amazing world of Gumball, and Gravity falls and they are all kid shows...but well written ones. Gravity falls for example looks super cartooney compared to TMNT yet it has had more character development and continuity than TMNT has had lately. (and has better written females) If you aren't gonna give me continuity then don't give me a story to follow. Just go with the episodic format.

The only animated show I watch that is literally aimed at kids is this one. I can only assume this is the current style for kids. Episodic style doesn't bother me so much, as long as I'm entertained in some way I guess, but I also like stories with actual conclusions. Hopefully this gets one. At this point, that'd suit me fine.

When I first started watching the show this year I wondered why he was being written in such a way, especially in the ep where they met Falcor the first time and we see that he had a short attention span. Same with the ep where they first introduced the Shellraiser. In the beginning his lack of an attention span is pointed out, which really makes you wonder (for this incarnation anyway) how he was able to master the nunchucks, the weapon out of the four that requires one to have a lot of focus and concentration to use effectively.

Yeah, but it still takes concentration and focus to master the nunchucks to keep from hitting yourself. I do believe he's a natural, but he still had to learn how to master his primary weapon.

Also, if there was SO much hate for the 2k3 series in Nick's staff, I doubt they'd have brought in Hun at all. He could've easily been a completely new character. |

Also, isn't the EPF from the 2k3 series too? Isn't that Bishop character connected to that?

""It's for kids...." This comment has come up so often, and each time I don't respond to it...for several reasons. Number 1 if their asking why I care about a show for kids. Then why the hell do they care about a guy talking about a show for kids, unless they to care about the show for kids. But back to the topic at hand. For so long people who have brought up this topic I've responded to with nothing but silence, because in most cases it's not a comment that deserves responce. These kind of people don't belong on my channel. It's not that I don't think they'll ever come around, it's because 'It's just for kids' isn't an argument...It's flimsy at best. It boils down to 'This is supposed to be bad, you're wrong for wanting it to be good'; it's not even an excuse for an arguement...'I disagree with you, but I've nothing to say.' What it is is a mantality. You don't change a mentality by coming up with reasons or any of that bull ****, because it's only a bridge that they can cross themselves or be left behind as everyone else does. I can show that childrens entertainment has the same scale quality that adult entertainment does a million different times, and show the great things it can do. But that never works...I don't know, maybe it's because "Courage the Cowardly Dog" and "Hey Arnold" were more widely seen across the age groups...." Quote:
