Leo finally deserves a film which he is the star of, this would be it. I really liked the series too, not cuz Leo's my favorite but the way they did the story arcs was great. While I'm ok with the Nick version they tend to try and spread out those awesome important arcs as much as possible, adding filler episodes in between them which tends to cause them to forget the important aspects of those arcs.

At least with the 2003 series they knew how to keep things straight like that, my opinion though.

Also to those who said D.B.Z sucked, be glad no obsessed fan is around here, they are tough to deal with on other peoples different opinions. I do agree though, Animation was awful at times for example a lot of the Gohan V.S Cell episodes were just, which is a shame cuz that's my all time favorite arc and what got me into Anime in the first place.

Looking back though, watching Dragon Ball after all that in my opinion towards the end in the Piccolo Jr arc had of the best fights. It also showed Goku really grew as a person, matured and learned new fighting skills and major improvements on his original moves. Too bad towards the end of D.B.Z kind of through all of Goku's character development out the window and kind of regressed a little, what a horrible father and husband / friend he turned out to be, sucks he was a much better being in the Dragon Ball series and till the end of the Buu saga. Who the heck leaves his family like that to train with some random kid who just barley started to know for years and just expects every thing to be peachy when he returns home?

Piccolo was a better father to Gohan than freakin Goku was, poor Goten ( Who was my least favorite of the new cast ) Grew up without pretty much one. He had to deal with his much more abusive mother instead. His only much needed parent like figure was Gohan sadly

Eh. I think Gohan got the worse end of the stick. At least Goten had a childhood friend to grow up with. At least Goten had a brother who protected him. Heck now that I think of it Gohan has a pretty crummy childhood. His dad rarely being there,Seeking Guidance from a Namekian and a little bald man, his studies,had to face way more villains than Goten ever did,and the loss of his dad. Sure Goten never spend quality time with Goku like Gohan but at least Goten could live without him. So in conclusion I find that Gohan's Childhood is tons worse than Goten for the following reasons above.

Ew, no. Not an exact translation. What we actually got was vastly superior and more interesting than that show. 2k3 was a bastardized, watered down version of Mirage storyline. With heavy dosages of not so subtle Playmates Toys sales driven agenda.

Great post. I agree. Good idea too, I think it would work as a film. Like Gaurdians of the Galaxy meets Hunger Games meets Ninja Turtles. Interesting melting pot there.

Bastardized? Watered down? The Mirage stories were diamonds in the rough at best. As for the toy thing, well that is to be expected with American animation, especially TMNT.

Wasn't Turtles Forever supposed to be a series finale "movie" of the series anyways?

Or maybe I'm reading this incorrectly, are you asking for a movie that has numerous elements and a tone from 2K3 and has its own universe OR a movie that has continuity with the 2K3 universe (which would make it a sequel to Turtles Forever then)?

Because if it's the first option, then... couldn't somebody argue to consider the Mirage source as well since 2K3 has a significant amount of Mirage elements that were modified for an audience of kids? ...Then it would lead to comparing it to the 1990 movie, in terms of the direction of the plot and how substantially different they are.

But for me, I wouldn't care for a 2K3 movie because although the story writing was superb, the characterizations and melodrama are what drag it down for me, with 2K3 Raph and Mikey being the most loathsome to me (with Raph being a rageaholic and Mikey's loud idiocy), how brutish 2K3 Casey was depcited, 2K3 Leo having too much screen time and character development compared to the other Turtles, and how the melodrama undermines a lot of the show's serious tone and makes it unintentionally hilarious (funnier than the actual designated humor within the show). In addition to the annoying, constant reintroduction of a newer "badass" Shredder within the series (Utrom Shredder, Cyber Shredder, Tengu Shredder, Karai Shredder, etc.). I'm not saying I wouldn't watch it eventually, but I certainly wouldn't be enthusiastic to see it.
