I don't mind if Donnie is in the spotlight as long the subject of the story that he's in is interesting to watch. I love both Metal Head episodes and pretty much anything that is not Apritello related.

What I don't want to see with Donnie is writers not knowing how to write him and just relying their bottomless Apritello well, because they think that it's the most interesting aspect of his character. In a worse case scenario, when Donnie is in the wrong but doesn't get his comeuppance because he is the apple of their eye and can do no wrong. That's when I get really piss off.

Main characters should be allow to make mistakes and it's not the show's job to make their actions look okay.

Now there hasn't been some blatant bias when it comes to Donnie in my opinion, but there are shades of it when it comes to this "love triangle".

"No! Too much Donnie in this series. They hate my character! Give my favorite character the spotlight again because my character deserves to be and yours doesn't!"

So this series doesn't have Raph as a main role. So what? You know what I do when I want to see him in a main role, I watch any other TMNT incarnation ever made. (Hell even TNM, the Bay movie, literally everything!) I think that's a lot of options to choose from.

There are probably some Donnie fans on this forum that see all of the posts on here and are like put Raph on the backburner for another 25 years, and then you can complain.

The moral, it's like Mick Jagger said, "You can't always get what you want."

Accept it and move on.

Donnie arcs wouldn't be bad if they weren't completely FOCUSED ON APRIL. Seriously, 2003 Donnie was one of the most interesting characters because he CONTRIBUTED SO MUCH TO THE STORY. Yeah, Donnie does contribute, but it's usually just to impress April and one-up Casey. And when you have that for 1/6 of the episodes of a season, it gets REALLY tiring. Even the episodes that don't focus on him get me to sigh when he mentions April.

Also, Raph only got his spotlight in the 1990 movie and partially in the comics. 2003 was Leonardo heavy, 1980s had a good balance, and Secret of the Ooze actually focused on Donnie. Rather than giving us a balance, the writers just keep giving Leo and Donnie arcs, and Donnie's arcs are so damn annoying.

I just thought of something: Since Slash and Rockwell might be under Shredder's influence for multiple episodes, the Mutanimals are basically left with LH and Pete to rescue them. (Plus the Turtles, of course.) Think they might recruit new members to help, like, say, a certain gecko who debuts verrrrry close to the incident? Might possibly explain why LH and Mondo are helping the Turtles against Bebop and Rocksteady at the same time in the opening.

You know, that would totally make sense if Mondo joins the Mutanimals, and I really hope it happens, too. It would give them an extra ally and a way to get the others back.

I haven't checked on here in a while since it's been forever since we've had actual news, but the promo was awesome! I'm actually really excited for the whole dark Raph thing, it seems like it's been a long time since we've had some focus on him...not that I'm complaining, since he usually gets the most focus in all of the other incarnations anyway.

Out of all of the Turtle pairings in pretty much the entire TMNT world, the least paired was Raph and Donnie, and I wish they would do more of that, Donnie the brains, Raph the muscle?

Maybe they'll do the Future Shark storyarc at some point and have older versions of those 2 show up.

For the love of god, PLEASE DO THIS. Raph and Donnie make a great team when they actually have screen time together. H.A.T.E. in the 2003 series had a Raph and Donnie episode, and it was absolutely beautiful.
