The figures in the mix n match appear taller, well they are I guess, because of the uniform leg length.
All the figures have their lags set to the same length, otherwise they would all be lop sided with mis matched legs.
This feature is what makes some of the figures look taller.

I don't understand how you're pretending I'm trying to be intellectual. All I said is you have a logic flaw. And then you go one further by assuming my intentions.

DVD likes the toys enough to keep buying. End of statement. You can not buy all the toys you want. DVD can buy all the toys he wants. One man's trash is another's treasure and all that.

I don't know where you live where they're a premium, either, considering they are consistently the cheapest non-preschool edition figure on the shelves next to tiny 5 PoA Marvel and DC figures. Even those versions with decent articulation are reaching $13+ in some stores.

You can go on ahead and continue to rationalize things this way. But my advice would be that you do not go through life using the same mentality that made you make the comment I've quoted above.
THIS IS THE ONLY MENTALITY THAT SHOULD MATTER IN MAKING A PURCHASE. Do I like it? Yes. Do I have the space for it? Yes. Can I afford it? Yes. Therefore I shall buy it. What other bloody factors do you need?

On the flip side, you telling someone not to buy something because it doesn't suit your needs, is something we call a "dick move".

(This is the second time this week someone's thought I was trying to be intellectual when I've repeatedly admitted I'm an idiot. What the hell is wrong with people?)

Thanks for the picture , it gives me an idea about how he'll look next to my Bebop.

And these are the 10 Classics.
First up, a disclaimer. The Bebop and Rocksteady are likely pre-release examples.

This set up is to help out those of you that want this set but are unsure of what is out there, or coming out.

And, here are the Mix n Match figures. Summing up to a total of 12 figures with many combinations possible.
You get 12 bodies and 12 heads, then, I'm not sure if the extras are random, but I ended up with:
Both of Metal Heads legs
Both of Metal Heads arms
4 Turtles arms (2 right and 2 left)
4 Turtles legs
Nice set actually.

Actually, my M-n-M Slash has longer legs than the two turtles I have from that line(Donnie and Mikey), as well as Metalhead's. Metalhead's legs fit with the turtles just fine, but Slash? Not so much. Don't know for sure about the others, but my guess is that the Splinter and Shredder figures are the same with the longer legs bit. Probably Tiger Claw, too. Didn't care to buy any of the others, since I only got Donnie, Metalhead, and Mikey for the prospect of doing cybernetic turtles. Slash, I bought because he's the only version they had for quite some time, and I really wanted him.

Ok. People aren't getting the face. I have compared each of the Classic releases with their original counterparts. Thus far each has been a clone of the original.

I cannot see the BB n RS being any different.

Of course, the first wave BB had a pink face, just like this one. No difference.

Here's a close up of the head. I think it's pretty close to being a perfect replica of that first wave BB from the 80s.

I couldn't say when BB and RS classics will be released, just saying that the line isn't dead, and there are more to come at some time in the future.
I've had figures anytime from a couple of weeks, to several months before their shelf date.
An example - the Beavers. These guys have been on my shelf for ages, but not yet the store shelves.

Back to BB. I was looking at my Nick variations, and realized I had 4 different color schemes.

The lower two have the same color Mohawk.
Then each of the lighter colored variants have different color ( tones) of skin.

My favorite is the darker skinned variant, followed closely by the mutations coloring.

I would say based on the classics showing up last year mid August when the movie came out that the new ones will do about the same at TRU.

Actually a better example for the release dates would be with Karai, Monkey Brains, and Napoleon Bonafrog as they are showing up more now on EBay and in retail stores according to the "finds" section.

The Beavers haven't made a showing and they along with Muckman and Attila have disappeared from the ad that comes with the figures (mystery).

Also that Black Bebop is my favorite as well. I got that version twice last year when I ordered site to store at Walmart.

I got a spare darker BB for display purposes.
I'm going to get another BB n RS mix n match set next week. I want these for display purposes owing to the extra height.

Word, I can't deny the mutations B&R are very tempting! Just dunno if I can justify buying them. A part of me doesn't wanna put money down on anything Playmates (Bitterness ahoy! Though I did just get some Halfshell Heroes the other day...) but more than anything it's bothersome how little articulation they have. Bleh.

I would say to only get Rocksteady because he looks so much more imposing than the first one.

Can you post a picture of the back of the B&R packages? Curious to see who they show, as Krang and the Foot Solider aren't shown on any packaging.
