I still want to see the facebook link of fully grown 20+ year old adults complaining they're depressed that April/Casey did not get together or how their lives are ruined until it happens.

I don't doubt there are people like that out there, but I feel I must see it with my own eyes to feed on their despair. I get some bizarre enjoyment out of watching shippers in turmoil.

No Turtles vote option for Kids Choice Awards this year. (Granted Spongebob will probably continue to win until no longer a contender...)

Nah, but for realsies... I have indeed noticed something peculiar about the hardest-of-hardcore TMNT fans. It seems like if TMNT is simply "one of" your favorite things, and you like it a lot, but it's not your Very Favorite Thing, you tend to be, on the whole, a little more mature and well-rounded than if TMNT happens to be your Very Favorite Thing In The Universe. Like, not trying to be mean, but I've noticed that a ton of people who put TMNT first and are completely obsessed with it above anything else, tend to be more immature for their age and have questionable taste in general.

I'm not sure what the connection is, but I've seen it enough to conclude it is indeed a legitimate phenomenon. It's also an extremely broad generalization, before anyone jumps my sh*t for pointing it out. Not starting anything, just making an uncomfortable observation.

Hey, hey. I'm very mature for my age, I don't even have a TMNT cereal bowl and PJs...

... yet.

Points for referencing week-old joke made in different thread. Someone's been paying attention! I appreciate that kind of consistency, as continuity is important.

That's pretty much true of any fandom though. I have like three or four things that I consider to be my biggest passions, but they're so different from each other that they tend to offer you a new perspective on each other.
Whereas when someone has one thing, that they consider to be their thing, then they get damned protective of it. That can lead to a narrow focus, tunnel vision in regards to what makes that thing so important.
You guys here aren't so bad, in my limited experience. I've seen enough to see who has particular idiosyncracies that jibe with the rest of the board, and I've seen some VERY troubling backward thinking on some social and societal themes, but by and large you aren't out to do each other over.

I'm a pretty chillaxed guy, but I've been driven away from boards with fandoms that make you guys look like a Utopia, and it's all because of over-protective opinions and an inherant complusion to act defensive at the end of the day.

I don't really think it's fair to judge folks on that merit unless they are being cruel or insanely mean.

People could say the same thing about some of the Very Same Folks who are doing the judging. Think about it.

Spending enough time to have over 10,000 posts on a forum about 4 Green Guys with swords, a wooden stick, or so forth who, at some points in their history, fought killer Pizzas and talking brains...

In the eyes of 'General Public', that Alone could be called 'Mentally incapable' as well.

If they're not hurting folks, then who the hell cares.

You could've just said "I have no shame" and left out the rest of it.

It could make someone seem socially impaired, sure, but not necessarily off upstairs. Go check the average twitter profile, you'll see tens of thousands of tweets. No different, really. Some like vegetables, some like meat. They're both still eating.

Railing against a creative team because you clutch tight the conspiracy that they're determined to ruin one of the most popular characters in that very same series, however...

I'm matching the tone set by my peers. Don't be a hypocrite. Your sole purpose on these forums is to spark sh*t & you damn well know it, peanut.

You have very little problems with the show. As the result, you keep defending the show from criticism, even though it's not necessary. It's sometimes tedious. I just want you to stop , Powder.

I don't "defend the show from criticism", I address people whose comments have no grounds in reality or are contradictory/hypocritical/uninformed. There's tons of criticism that I ignore, because when people make fair points or have a normal difference of opinion, there's no need to engage.

Either way, it has zero bearing on what's being spoken about right now, peanut, so I don't know why you're even going there.

At any rate, I will never stop doing anything at your behest, because I dislike you & your irrational ways.

It seems leaving my grievances with 2k12 Mikey was the way to go. Sometimes the silly random fun this show has is good and I certainly enjoy them more than most of the Kraang episodes.

When you insult someone,it comes across as rather immature. You are taking my insecurity of my height and and turning it into something that should be mocked. That's disrespectful.

As for my posts on these forum, my intention was not to start arguments and divide people, but to emphasize certain issues that are prevalent in the world today.

You see, I am very passionate when it comes to sensitive topics. I know this forum isn't capable of discussion, but I wanted to try, Powder. I just wanted to make people aware that there are more problems than what they usually see.

Usually, people don't notice these issues until it's too late. That is why I am creating threads. To make people aware.

Furthermore, I apologize if it annoys you. However, I'm not going to give up anytime soon. I am going to raise more awareness.

I get what you did there (you were talking about my complaints on the portrayal of Raphael on the Nick show in the past...which I stand by and gave multiple examples to my reasoning).

The last time I was on the forum (after being away for months)? I remarked about a recent episode and gave my displeasure about that 'particular episode'. I was being honest, and gave a thorough explanation of why I felt that way. This is AFTER a couple people asked me to give my thoughts onto it (they messaged me via Private Message). So I figured "why not...it IS the 'venting/whining' thread"...

That was followed by you giving remarks to me although I didn't insult anybody, didn't make snide remarks to anybody, and wasn't even Talking To You...which by your reasoning, was because either it 'had no grounds in reality or were contradictory/hypocritical/uninformed' (since you just said that's the only reason you reply).

By the way...I don't really see how it was 'not founded in reality' when i explained what my thoughts about what I saw on the Actual Screen. It wasn't contradictory or hypocritical. And I don't see how it could be uninformed because I actually 'Watched It (since people complained to me that "You need to watch it and THEN you can say something"...when I did, people STILL got upset). But hey, different strokes for different folks.

I even wanted to end whatever problem you had with me via Personal Messaging to you so that it didn't cloud up this Thread with a 'back and forth', but you got upset about that and i let it be.

And for some reason you felt the need to once again throw out a snide remark like you did up above...

And it's not like I made 50 posts about it recently, either. Again, I left for months to let it go. And after those months? All I did was post a handful (as in count on one hand) of posts, explaining my reasons and wanting to bring Actual Discussion to hear other folks opinions into the conversation), as well as having to defend myself from snide/snotty remarks that I was getting.

People can make 30 comments of how much the new movie will suck (which I agree, it will suck) but I don't remember seeing you complaining too much about it. If you want to talk hypocritical, that's definitely one example of it.

It's like going to an AA meeting to tell attendees a new liqour store opened in their area. We are where we are to escape reality, not dissect & discuss it. All you've made us aware of is that overly sensitive people like you exist, & that's a frightening notion. If you want to educate some folks, make signs & picket a state building or something.

As far as you 'raising more awareness' is concerned, have fun in your ascendance to becoming more disliked than Leo or myself.
