But we don't know for sure if it's a canon pairing yet. Yes, she kissed him on the lips, but that doesn't mean that it's totally official yet as April still hasn't told Casey if she's made her choice. Once she does that, then it'll be official.

But the show, and the network have officially put it out there. The only thing they haven't done is used is the word "Apritello".

I mean, why would a network promote anything this serious if it was a mirage? People who write stories based on the show (myself included) have no reason not to incorporate it when everyone associated with the current franchise puts it out there that it's a thing.

Nick has been building up April/Donnie since the middle of Season 1 with all the stuff they have posted and promoted on the website, and the relationship has only gotten more serious as the show has gone on. Even the promo for the "Bigfoot" episode specifically put it out there as well involving Donnie and April.

Just because something wasn't made official doesn't mean it wasn't canon.

Take Spiderman for example. In the comics, Peter chose Gwen Stacey over Mary Jane in the beginning. The only reason why it was never considered "official" was because Gwen was killed before anything serious happened, but it was still canon although it was never official before Peter hooked up with MJ.

You know, if Apritello is that big, I can most certaintly see Nick CEO's and executives stepping in to make damn sure the producers/creators don't deviate from that set up. Ciro and crew may not have a choice.

You make a point. In that Kora shipping poll, it was asking which ship do they prefer the most, which I would gather was because they had no idea which way the writers were going. In the TMNT poll, it was asking which set up people like with April and Donnie, and not which pairing people prefer April with, Donnie or Casey. Casey isn't even mentioned. Maybe Nick does know something. It would be very cruel for them to post that poll up, just to take away any hope of it in a few episodes later.

JTH, you make a good point, and I agree that now it is canon with her kissing him, and I do believe that April and Donnie are going to be the end game pairing. And if so, that's awesome.

Agreed. While I may not always like the drugdery of the love triangle itself, I do think Don/April is adorable.

Wow. lol They were really into it. If there are a lot of fans out there like those two girls there, I can understand why it's being milked so much. With the cleaning clip, I'm not going to lie...part of it I didn't like. I hated the fact that Donnie was trying to impress April when she walked up the stairs. Maybe if he would've nervously said, "Hey April" and then approaching offering to help since Casey wasn't, it would've been better, imo.

Ha ha. That was cute. I saw the most adorable shakey doe of a fangirl at the TMNT meet and greet at NYCC. She was one of the first on line and decked out in TMNT gear from head to toe with a Donnie mask and Donnie plushie and was there to get her 30th anniversary book signed. She was soooo nervous and adorable. And Rob Paulsen kissed her hand and I thought she was going to die. It was hilarious.

I know what it's like, to watch other people's reactions. I was at Disney World back in June, and Darth Vader came onto the scene for pics and such, and when a little, itty bitty girl came up, she stood like to the guy's knee, she just stood there, stunned, looking up at Vader in a trance. It was so damn cute!

And yes, that is a valid point. Even if April ends up with Casey... the characters are so young in this version that we won't see them get married and have kids anyway, so all of this future stuff against Donnie is a moot point.

PLUS, what if they eventually some sort of Volume 4 route in season number....whatever... With aliens walking around like ordinary people and the Turtles able to walk around in open public.... April dating Donnie won't seem so weird anymore. And April's dad would have known Donnie (and the Turtles and Splinter) for a few years by then so he'd be ok with that.

We need to question ourselves, together as one... where did this storyboard even come from? Is this a storyboard of an artistic teenage little girl or from the... well, you know...? Where did it come from, anyway? NOBODY KNOWS. Are they watching US? DO ALIENS REALLY EXIST!!??
