I understand they wanted to go with a creepy design for him, but this is just the wrong way. If I didn't know this was Rat King, I'd just assume it was a zombie or something from an episode.

So he's an Undertaker (early WWF)/Zombie hybrid? My first impression is that he's lame. But that's just my first impression.

Its funny because he really looks the total opposite of the tone for this show. In the two clips we see light hearted humor and the designs of all the characters reflect it.

Rat King looks creepy and disturbing, I agree that 5 year old kids will probably be scared to crap of him

I think it's pretty cool with making Rat King look a bit creepy. Makes me think that the episodes where he's the main villian are going to be a bit dark.

I like it. I mean it fits with the concept of the character. A guy who lives in the sewer and scavenges what he has. With the lack of protean, vitamins, and over all health it makes since. Besides it helps the "hopeless romantic" idea if they go that route.

Rat King didn't have to be all buff, but here he just looks like a generic ghoul, I don't like his design. You can make a different Rat King design that still resembles somewhat the original character. The design isn't necessarily bad it just isn't the rat king it's very generic.

Then stop doing it, problem solved. Moving on now.

Because if he can control the rats he can send wave after wave after them. That and control Splinter. That's all he would need to do.
