I have only seen a little of that show... but I think so, yes. I was really impressed with the fight scenes in Rise of the Turtles. The fight against snakeweed most of all.

CGi animation may have its ups and downs, but the action sequences are definitely a high. Everything looks so much more dynamic in 3D.

Did anyone notice Raph fighting a female android (which Mikey interrupted) in the "This Season" promo after the premiere?

Or was it just Metalhead?

I was so blown away by this premiere, and I have so much faith in this show. A perfect blend of seriousness for the older fans with tasteful and actually really funny humor (akin to the OT series) is a win-win. That pizza-origin scene was rather adorable, if I can be so bold! Each Turtle had their own development and insight into how their personalities work. They didn't focus solely on Leonardo or Raphael like usual; Donnie is a huge personality in this. Mikey's cute as hell. This show is going to be great.

I did note that Donnie's naginata has not yet debuted. I wonder if he's going to make it in-story. I assumed he started off with it.

Actually, of all the Turtles I feel Raph was focused on the least -- which is a big departure from how the shows (and movies) usually go!

I like Raph a lot, but it's refreshing that they are trying to balance that.

We know from the summaries that the third episode (the next one) is a Raph-centered episode...that's probably why as they held off to give him his own ep.

I loved the Show, it was better than I thought it would be. Don being sarcastic was a changed that I enjoyed. Mikey was sweet, I love that guy. He was funny. This was the first time I have liked Leos character. I normally think he is boring, and I hate how (in my opinion) he can come off as a little self righteous. I liked this Leo so much better. Raph was everything I love about Raph *big hugs*. I loved how tough he was. I enjoyed seeing him torture snake with the oze. It was awesome. I also loved when he ripped off the robbots arm and used it to block the door.
My two year old on the other hand was horrifed when Raph took the robots arm off she screamed and held her arm... She was loving it until then. I guess that was bad parenting on my part.All in all I wouldn't change a thing except whatching the cartoon while my kids are napping! LOL!!!

Do you think the way Splinter sounds in the new series is a stereotype? Because I don't, I think it sounds close to what his character should sound like. Being that Shredder and Splinter are born, raised and trained around the same part of Japan, it only makes sense that they would sound similar.

Again we have heard little of shredder's voice so I have to hear more. It's fine if he sounds more "gruff" but his voice should sound like someone who's been in Japan all of their life, don't you think? Why would he sound like an American? That's just wrong. No Japanese crime organization is going to take this guy who sounds like he is from the USA seriously, c'mon.

Now that you mention it I’ve lived all of my life in Mexico, but because I live in the border most of the shows I watched where in English (like The Real Ghostbusters and TMNT on FOX 14, ABC, NBC, etc) because where I lived I didn’t got those shows in Spanish until much later, but still I preferred to watch them In English.
So maybe Shredder watched a lot of US programming like me? XD

I wonder if they're gonna tie this show into the TMNT movie in some way.

Even so I do like where this series is going, but I do hope they don't just make Mikey another Beast Boy type character. This isn't Teen Titans after all.

I kinda have to agree. Donnie was surprisingly a bigger focus which was very nice.

I saw part 1 and then my ADHD kicked in and I had to do something else (really). I loved it though. Very charming and funny. I personally love Splinter's design. All the voice actors are great... Raph is too serious though!

I thought it looked like Metalhead too, but I'm still not sure if it's him.
The next episode will probably be one of my favorite episodes of this series since it's Raphael-centered, and especially if Metalhead is in it.

I enjoyed having an episode guide released just before each season of the '03 cartoon getting a preview of the whole season.Will we get anything like that this time around? It would be a real treat if we do!
