Some one help me here, look on the tv does that scene look familiar to anyone because it doesn't to me or is it a new episode they are watching, are they teasing us.

I see April, Donnie, Raph and Mikey all looking shocked and whats that above or behind them?

I just got "The ultimate visual history" in the mail today....awesome book But there was a nice little piece of information in the Nick chapter, I find very interesting. I don't know if it's been posted in another thread. But here goes:

Brandon Auman is talking about developing the characters "We discover things about them that will broaden the characters for sure. Like why Raphael is hot tempered, and how that ties into the crack in his shell...that kind of things"

First of all, I'm really glad that we get some deeper character stuff with Raph, he's my favorite, and as many others have said, he's the one getting the least of the spotlite. And in general it's nice that they will keep focus on the Turtles backstories, and some of the darker aspects. I like the lighthearted and funny episodes, but this show does serious very very good

Wow. No, that hasn't been posted at all, but I think it's awesome that we'll get some back stories about the Turtles and why they are the way they are. I always wondered where Raph got the crack in his plastron, and I'm excited to see where they'll go with that.

There's quite a bit of stuff that's in there that people talk about on here and bring up.

Like the acknowledgement that Ciro and the writers for the show actually intended and gone out of their way to make sure that the Turtles acted and emotionally handled situations like "real teenagers" would.

Which quite a bit of us on here have tried to point out.

Definitly. And the reason for Raphs temper is something that is much debated. I think it's nice that the show will do their take on it, and I'm excited too see how it will play out

There's a lot of nice little details in there....too bad the Nick chapter is only ten pages long. One of my favorites is the "More Obi, less Yoda" in the Splinter concept art

I believe it's a "collage scene". I recognize the Shredder, but by the reaction of the other turtles and April, it's like something happened to him. Maybe he's going to mutate too?

Oh I hope not. I prefer if Karai blames Leo and Shredder since they were the last two she saw before falling into the mutagen. In the other thread, I mentioned this...

I do. Here's the statement

The turtles are going to be discovered and be driven out of the city, they need to stay in the woods/forest and learn new ways to survive.

I ironically called something to similar to his this back in January.

This is pure speculation, but do you think it's possible that the existence of the turtles will be exposed to the populous of New York?

This is something I can see happened mid-late season 2 or some point in season 3 at the latest, after all we are going to see Footbots invading the lair soon enough. And Karai has made that comment about selling Leo to a lab.

So I can see Karai at least being vindictive enough to not only force the Turtles out into the open, but also having the entire populous of New York on a man hunt for them. Leaving it difficult for the Turtles and Splinter to find a place where they can hide.

It certainly worked in the 1987 series with episodes such as Turtles on Trial and the Red Sky season. I doubt they'll pull a Gargoyles and have organizations (based off or modeled off organizations that shall remain nameless) which have been rallied into mob mentality through ignorance and fear.

But yeah I can see "Anti-Mutant" groups popping up and villains such as Karai, Shredder, and/or Bishop (if they bring in Bishop) using these mobs to their advantage. After all who is more likely to be believed, a human who says that the Turtles and their master are a menace to society and has physical proof as to what sort evil they have caused. Or five mutants who carry ninja weapons and claim to be the good guys, but have few to no people who can legitimately back up that claim.

I'm just curious. Why would there have to be a reason for Raph's temper? I really have no reason for my temper, it just blows up. It's just the way I am. What about Donny, is there a reason he is so smart, or is it just naturally gifted?

With Raph, in this series, he said once that his brothers "make him loopy". I know I'd like to know why and given that he's a "ninja", it's not such a bad thing to actually see what hte cause is and fix it.

I kinda like Archie's take on it. He wasn't "angry", but incredibly negative and cynical. He was like this because he realized the situation they were in being the only mutant turtles around (and all of them being male at that). I found that interesting about him.

That aside, anger is an emotion. Intelligence isn't. You can't really figure out why a person is smart, but emotions usually have a trigger or cause.
